There was a thing on one of the nba meme Facebook pages at some point this year asking why people ignored that steph and ja had the same record with similar help but people only acknowledged one as a huge carry. Paraphrased of course.

I’m sure someone will do the usual random stat shit to pretend Memphis has way way better players but in the end....great players don’t typically make bad teams good. They make bad teams decent at best. The difference between two players won’t generally show as much on bad teams.

Just gotta appreciate not always being in that situation. Some people like Mitch Richmond spend a whole prime with a 2-8 cast of guys you would barely recognize.

Steph gets some help next year. Couple of these kids grow up a bit. He will have a real shot to do something next year and just be thankful his shitty team down time was(hopefully) brief.
