Did utterly nothing in the fourth quarter when the game was up for grabs and he also missed a late free throw and to think this is the player that Hbk thinks is better than Duncan :lol

Yeah because Duncan was mr 4th quarter takeover hahaha this is a guy who went his last 11 seasons without winning a finals MVP. When did you start watching basketball? yesterday? You should know better then to overreact after a game 1.

I understand if HBK is in shambles as he has talked him up so much this season using stats such as Vorp and then Kawhi disappears like he did last postseason against Jokic.

Is Kawhi shook of white boys?

Kawhi was getting double teamed and trapped every time he touched the ball. I don't think Duncan was ever defended that way, nobody was ever scared of Duncan's offense.

He thinks he's the GOAT.
Kawhi has a deep and balanced supporting cast this season and as a goat player according to Hbk then if he can not beat basically a one-man team in Luka with all the weapons he has then Hbk should honestly admit that Duncan is a far better player than Kawhi.

You obviously aren't old enough to remember all the 4th quarter chokes by Duncan.

I am old enough to remember Duncan kicking Shaq and Kobe's asses in 2003 basically by himself and making Kobe cry at the end of game 6 in the process:lol

how did duncan lose in 2006 when he had a prime Parker\Manu vs Dirk and role players? Also Jason Terry being suspended 1 game.

Kawhi had the #1 offensive rating this season for players with at least 1200 minutes. Duncan would never come close to that, he's Gobert with a backboard shot.

Kawhi should have joined the Lakers....
Shake my head, what could have been.

I wouldn't call that a choke. We saw real choking in the bucks-Heat game.
Kawhi was just off from 3. Other than that he was fine.

Oh really, the Spurs were a Horry make away from blowing an 18-pt 4th quarter lead at home in that series. What happened in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2008 btw? :kobe:

Nah that would have ruined the Nba and it is no fun if one team just stomps everyone else like Golden state did in 2017 once they added Durant to their team.

The Spurs had injuries to key players in 2001 and 2008 and in 2004 Fisher hit the biggest fluke shot in Nba history to steal that game 5 after Duncan hit a potential game-winner facing tough defence from the Lakers.
Anyway despite the playoff losses to Kobe
Duncan has more regular-season MVPs and finals MVP's than Kobe has and he is usually always ranked above him all time which is well deserved.

Let's be honest, Duncan's long 2 over 2 defenders was a bigger fluke. Fisher's shot was contested too, but he had a better look.

Duncan lost in the 1st round as an 1st seed to a 8th seed in 2011.
Lost a game 7 on his homecourt in 2006
That's the two most embarrassing things you do, lose as a 1st seed to an 8th seed and also lose a game 7 on your homecourt. He had no bubble excuse either.

Duncan didn't get his ass clapped by Brian Windhorst either.
