End of story.
What this man does is under appreciated.
It's criminal not to have him as a MVP candidate.
MVP isnt a popularity contest like the NBA makes it seem to be.

Few understand this. Missing 2 starters half the season. He missed games. And still finished ahead of Curry who played with Dramond and two number 1 picks.
Curry is a finalist but he sin't even in the playoffs. Then He just beat the Jokic in game 1. How is he not at the very least a finalist.

Because the people who vote usually base their rationale on what a player did in the playoffs the year before, or their expectations for what that player and their team will do that year.
Jokic got everyone's attention for what Denver did last year. Curry is perceived to have pushed the Warriors to overachieve even though they didn't make the playoffs. Embiid is thought of as leading the only team in the East that could beat the Nets, and they finished with the best record in the East.
Portland has had moderate playoff success in the past, and the expectation for them this season was mediocre, so while everyone agrees Lillard is great, he needs to carry his team to at least the Conference finals this year, or lead them to finish with a top 2 record next year to get his respect.

The last MVP ladder I saw had him at 6th so he was a candidate.
