I turned the game on when I saw it was only 8 minutes left in the 4th and the lakers were down 10

I already knew what was gonna happen, lebronze was gonna pass the ball because he's a bitch made clown with zero killer instinct.

just lol'ing at that 40'ish second mark left in the 4th when he's just dribbling the ball at the top of the key and not even trying. Just literally running clock while his team is down 10, can't make this shit up.

Nothing stuck out about him today outside of his 3 going in early. You barely noticed him. He couldn't get by anyone today. Got blocked a few times too and just looked slow. He's fooled me before so I won't say he's slowed down for sure without a larger sample size but at some point, even this cyborg has to deal with father time.

He is also old and coming off an injury. He doesn't look to be the same player he was prior to the injury.

Lebron isn't just playing against the Suns. He is also playing against Father Time who is undefeated. At some point he is going to get the best of Lebron. Might be now might be later but it's coming.

Yeah he's still gonna win EVENTUALLY, but even as a LeBron fan you got to admit this playing passive in important moments is getting Hella old. Especially when AD is having a terrible game.
And its not like he CANT takeover (Miami and Cavs in the playoffs) he just doesn't sometimes. For a guy who wants to be the GOAT you got to take over, drive to the basket, stop letting caruso, kuzma and THT be your offensive options instead of you making it happen. Same goes for Davis too

Lebron avoids contested jumpers and therefore can't be clutch.

Specifically, 89% (https://www.nba.com/stats/player/2544/shots-dash/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season) of Lebron's jumpers were uncontested in 2020, compared to 69% (https://www.nba.com/stats/player/202695/shots-dash/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season) for Kawhi, 61% (https://www.nba.com/stats/player/201935/shots-dash/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season) for Harden, and 50% (https://www.nba.com/stats/player/201142/shots-dash/?Season=2018-19&SeasonType=Regular%20Season) for KDGoat (2019 stats).

TLDR: down the stretch of tight games (last 5 minutes within 5 points), Lebron shot 41% on 3.0 attempts per game for his career (04-19'), compared 47% on 3.6 attempts for old MJ in 97' and 98'.. So MJ shot much better in the clutch with far more attempts (20% larger clutch load/attempts).

CLUTCH - Playoff shots in last 5 minutes, within 5 points, since 2001

134-323 for Lebron.. 41.4%

^^^^ And 0-8 in the championship for Lebron, compared to 4-8 for Jordan

Series are often decided over a few possessions - Lebron loses those possessions

2009 ECF - laid a massive egg in the critical Game 4 OT that swung the series, and lost 2 other 4th quarter leads in the series

2010 ECSF - didn't score in the last 6 minutes of the series-turning Game 4, while Rondo completely took over and beat Lebron by himself

2011 Finals - nuff said.. a record zero clutch points in the entire series (last 5 within 5)

2017 Finals - Cavs led 113-109 with 1:30 left in Game 3, and that's when KD scored the last 7 points to win the game, while Lebron bricked and deferred down the stretch.

2018 Finals - deferred on the last possession despite having a massive mismatch himself against Curry - then he was scoreless in OT (melted down after adversity with JR)

BAILOUTS - teammates saved the team from losing series after a Lebron choke

2013 Finals - missed the critical shot, so Ray Allen hit it

2016 Finals - scoreless down the stretch, so Kyrie saved him

Btw, I didn't include the 2015 Finals where Lebron had zero points in the 4th quarter of critical Game 4 to lose a winnable game (only down 6 heading into 4th).. I didn't include it because Lebron was a big underdog without star teammates.

He didn't even want that last shot against the warriors. He gave it to KCP to try to make a move. KCP passed it to him with no time on the clock so he had to chuck it. But the mentality is...he never wanted any part of that last possession.

And it was an open shot, Curry half-contested it at the end by jumping and screaming in front of him but he was too far away and is way too small to bother that shot lol.
