No. He's literally just had 2 bad shooting games. Last night, he was probably a net positive. He played good defense on Booker/CP3 save for those stupid fouls at the end when the game was over. He also grabbed a few really key rebounds in momentum swinging moments.

Shooters will always go through slumps, if I recall he also shot the ball really bad in game 1 vs Portland last season, but was good to go after that.

Hell nah Matthews is garbage. He is probably the second worst player on the team besides THT the turnover machine.

He cant shoot 3s to save his damn life. I think the last 3 he made was against GSW and it was plain luck. I would trust a G-League player to shoot an open 3 over this guy. Terrible thread

Kuzma is trash. He is supposed to be a 4th option offensively for this team after Schröder but he is completely useless on the court. He doesn't even try to shoot or make a drive, he just passes it and let the others do everything. The Lakers should have traded him

Agreed, he is a decent defender but some people think he is better than Schröder lmao. Schröder is 10 times better. Even KCP is a way better all around player than Caruso. He can shoot 3s, midrange, drive, defend almost just as well. Caruso is kinda overrated but he is better than Matthews for sure

Matthews can't get into rhythm because he doesn't play enough. Matthews is a good 3 and D guy when he gets into rhythm.
