Theyre outclassing the Celtics convincingly, but I think part of that is the matchup itself really favors the Nets. I dont think theyre gonna have it this easy in every series.

It’s only two playoff games so far, against a team they match up particularly well against. Lets wait and see what happens if/when they get punched in the mouth.

Okay, but youve said that about every Rockets team for the past five years.

And Im not even rooting/betting against them. They definitely look like the favorites so far. Just saying it’s no guarantee.

Everyone thought the ‘11 Heat were a lock as well. Yet Wade found a way to choke :facepalm

Nets are stacked. If they lose - the legacies of KD, Harden, and Kyrie all go straight into the garbage can forever. Biggest chokers of all time.

Welcome back bro. It was odd that you didn't show up when Harden was playing like a G-league player for the first 5 games of the season, but his first good game you're back & confident. #scaryhours

Didn't know the season ended in February.

Nets will be right there at the end of the year (barring any further significant injuries).

Good luck with that. With their losses piling up little by little, they're not going to look good without hca.

Key points:

1. Kyrie Irving is no doubt, one of the best, most impressive 1-on-1 scoring talents on earth, and consistently makes tough, contested high degree of difficulty shots in high pressure situations. He carried LeBron to a title before hitting all the big shots. Sure he thinks the earth is flat (con), but he also stood his ground on an experimental new medical technology, which showed leadership will in the face of uncertainty and panic. Respect to Kyrie.

2. Durant is also one of the greatest 1-on-1 scorers in the history of the game. He colluded for a title (con), but has the talent to win a title as the man (pro), and would have already won a title as the man, if not for the ignorant, selfish, stupid performances Magic Johnson described here (the numbers still looked ok at first glance, but watching the games, Russ lost those games for OKC no question):

https://youtu.be/H_U5YWgBwYo

3. Steve Nash is one of the 5 highest paid coaches in the NBA, yet in 2022, the Nets are running 70%+ “take turns” ISO offense, for contested 2’s. With all the other great squads having moved past that style of play, with higher efficiency offensive systems with more ball movement (tires out opposing defenses), more open looks in general, more open 3’s, and more easy buckets…. Nets have the superior ISO talent to win with an outdated system, but why is one of the most expensive coaches in the NBA not incorporating more diverse offensive sets into the game plan to make it easier for his players to succceed ?

BarberDrool at it again with the braindead takes.Fk you talking about ?

You think running 70+% ISO on offense for mostly high degree of difficulty 2’s, wins a title in 2022 ?

Hella teams have already been moved onto more efficient systems.

The take that Kyrie carried lebron to a title is the brain dead part lol and you know that’s what he’s referring too. That revisionist history will never be true

Durant hasn't trusted his teammates all year - he needs to pass to them without hesitation when defenders are near and MAKE them step up, which will free himself up - they need to free up Durant when he's facing "Jordan Rules"

but it's Nash's fault too for not seeing this and for playing your-turn-my-turn all year - consequently, the Nets don't have the chemistry that benefits role players or puts Durant and Kyrie in these great, unpredictable spots like the Celtics' players

Without Kyrie’s heroics, all LeBron’s big shiny numbers wouldn’t have been enough on their own to bring the trophy back to Leaveland. Know that.

The inverse can easily be said. Kyrie doesn't get all the looks he gets without LeBron getting as much attention as he got.

All the clutch buckets means one I guess.

the Nets are realizing why the Sixers included Seth Curry in the deal, when they decided to hold him accountable and stop covering for him on defense, he's simply a liability. and he's only the 4th in eFG% so far this post season.

only that's still their 5th highest paid player (including Simmons), so they have to play him.

Durant can only shoot that many FTs

re-call game 6 for me please

and the clutch shots you are refering to, cause i can only re-call one game that went deep 4th, and lebron hit more clutch shots in that than kyrie.
