View Full Version : Why do Blacks make a personal connection to George Floyd??

But don't make a connection to the hundreds and thousands of other Black lives that are murdered in cities like Chicago, Baltimore, New York, Detroit??

Like, help me understand the logic here. There are talks of making a holiday after George Floyd. But why is he special and not the countless of innocent other Blacks that die every day?

Is it really as simple as accepting gang violence, but not accepting the minuscule amount of times a police officer kills a Black person whether justly or unjustly? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

Help me understand, Black folk. And in case you didn't know, I identify as Black as well, so I am in this struggle with you as well. My pronouns are He/Him/Nikka/Lil' Killa

God Bless.

So was Dennis Rodman, and he's in the Hall of Fame and is buddies with Lil' Kim.

They're about to immortalize a violent felon drug user with the likes of Martin Luther King and Harriet Tubman.

I just posted this thread, so I'm not struggling for replies. I probably won't get too many replies from my African-Americans, cause I frankly believe there aren't that many on here honestly. There are a lot of White Liberal effeminate males though.

And welfarefan and Stanley Kobrick are the same poster. Notice the lack of capitalization to start their sentence, the coma in the middle of the sentence, and then the lack of punctuation at the end of the sentence. Ya done got caught!

Floyd is being pushed for political reasons. I wish it would just go away already, but it wont. There are always more elections on the horizon; more mouth breathers to pander to for votes.

As an aside, people die every day. People get murdered every day. Most of them are better people than Floyd was, but you never hear their names. Because they are not politically valuable.

Easy to point the finger on the white man instead of themselves.

Daniel Shaver’s death was worse AND the cop went free and he didn’t get .01% of the coverage that Floyd did

Thank you for being a voice of reason.

I have no idea why people are so easily manipulated/don't think but met a very outspoken person (who is also smart) but didn't know about economics (or even the GFC).

Logical thought seems to be failing many...

He's like Rosa Parks. Had one iconic moment that became a symbol.

Rosa Parks wasn't anything special like the brilliant Malcolm X or MLK or Muhammad Ali. She's just...at the right place and time.

.

Isn't that a bit hypocritical?
NO , it's showing that racism still exists and people will kill another just because of that.

What about George Floyd's death was racist? How did George Floyd's death become about race? I thought it was about police brutality?

You're older than all of us. You should be smarter too. Did you see how that narrative changed overnight? It became about race immediately. Because the media and elites want you to believe it's about race.

What proof do you have that Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd out of racism? We have seen countless number of Black on White and Black on Asian attacks since then, but no one wants to talk about that. That's real racism. They just want to talk about the BIG BAD WHITE MAN.

Hi, shithead.

The irony is by making this thread you answered your own question.

Why make another George Floyd thread?
