Don Rickles was pretty hilarious -- but I wonder if it was really all an act. I think he just liked insulting people and packaging it as comedy. After all, he was short, bald, and not particularly good-looking.

But, still a comedy legend. You'd be hard-pressed to find someone with a quicker wit, and a sharper tongue.

Dave Chappelle has probably made me laugh the most.

Rickles is the GOAT roaster though, nobody comes close.

I find it strange that Youtube's most popular stand up comedy video is an Indian guy doing stand up in Hindi.

Hollywood has toed the line of distaste for a long time, and many actively love verbal and other forms of abuse. It’s a sick world they live in, and many don’t realize the rest of the world find that so disgusting and distasteful.

But all that said, I do love me a good roast. And rickles could roast.

My favorites?

George Carlin
Richard Pryor
Dave Chappelle (shout to Neil Brennan)
Chris Rock
Bill Burr
Norm MacDonald
Gilbert Gottfried

I'd chalk up the lack of specials recently to covid. Kinda hard to work out your material when every venue is shut down.

Carlin is #1 for me.
Eddie izzard is a pretty close second.
The Pythons amaze me that 40+ years after their show, they're still getting referenced. Richard Pryor and Steve Martin are comedy relics, but MP lives on.
