Lebron is the easiest Finals comp ever - he has the worst Finals record in 3-pointer history - so Kobe would beat him by record amount just like KD, Duncan and Dirk did

Kobe simply yields better teams because the ball moves and teammates play to capacity alongside Kobe's elite jumpshooting skill

Totally healthy? 2021 Lakers in 4 or 5. More likely 4. :lol It wouldn't be close.

2021 Lakers. In 6 games, most likely.

They're deeper, with better top-end talent.

They're even bigger than 2010, who were huge. Guys like Marc Gasol and Montrezl off the bench. LA is small outside of Bynum and Pau. DJ Mbenga has size, but he was never good enough to get minutes.

That 2010 team was all about rebounding, defense, and limiting turnovers. The 2021 team can beat them at that style of play.

Who's guarding AD? Nobody. Bynum and Pau are both way too slow.

Who's guarding LBJ? MWP is a solid cover -- he did well on KD that year. But his strength game doesn't work as well against a guy who's as big and strong as him. They've got no one else to throw at LBJ either. Kobe? Man, he needs to conserve energy himself, because he's the engine on offense.

Who's guarding Kobe? KCP, Caruso, Wes Matthews, AD, LeBron, Kuzma, Ben McLemore... The 2021 Lakers are deep with defensive options to throw at Bryant.

Who's guarding Pau? Marc. AD. Drummond.

Who's guarding Bynum? Marc. AD. Drummond.

2010 Lakers actually have the perfect defender for Anthony Davis. Lamar Odom. And Artest for Lebron. Which would be a joke. Can't bully ball metta.

To be honest... they might sweep.

Lamar Odom is 7 foot and grades out as an elite defender.

Odom is too weak/light. Odom has okay size (6-10, 7-4 wingspan) but he's only 235. AD is 255-260.

Lebron is 16-6 to Team Kobe. And the lakers lost to the 2011 Dallas Mavericks after they swept them.

AD plays like he's 220 though, so not much of an advantage there.

He is not!

They're small compared to the 2021 Lakers, who have a 7-1 center off the bench, along with a 6-9/6-10 PF with basically the same measurements in Montrezl Harrell. They also have Kuzma, who's a tall SF/PF type.

Did you watch the game last night? AD plays big when he needs to.

In a finals best-of-7 matchup against the 2010 Lakers, he's driving hard to the rim, getting guys in foul trouble.

Odom was easily as big as Davis. And a better athlete and dribbler. He just didn't have AD's elite shooting touch. Saying AD had muscle on him shows you have no clue what you're talking about.

Oh lord... :oldlol:

Odom/Pau/Bynum are now small. Haha.... take me back to 2010 when everybody said their size was unfair. Now they're small. :oldlol:

Y'all are too funny.

I'm a big fan of Kareem, but if there's one slight, he was a lightweight. AD is the most skilled 7 foot jump shooter ever but he'd be bullied by a real frontline.

Odom was easily as big as Davis. And a better athlete, he just didn't ha e AD's elite shooting touch. That's what makes him Kareem.

I've checked the draft meaurements.

Odom was 6-10 barefoot, AD was 6-9.25, but AD has since grown since then. He's probably 6-10 barefoot as well now, given he measured in at 6-11 allegedly.

New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis grew another inch over the summer. The 23-year-old shared the news on the Black & Blue Report podcast. But the funny thing is after he said it, he tried to take it back. "They measured us like a week and a half ago and they said I was 6-11, which I don't want to be.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ftw/2016/09/27/anthony-davis-has-grown-an-inch-since-last-season-but-he-isnt-happy-about-it/91194134/#:~:text=New%20Orleans%20Pelicans%20big%20man,don' t%20want%20to%20be.

But that's nitpicking. AD has a longer wingspan, equal in height, weighs more, and certainly plays bigger than Odom. Lamar was more of a flashy perimeter faceup guy, who could occasionally do bigmen stuff.

But he was never blocking 3 shots a game, presence in the paint guy that AD has and can be.

And the weight difference bro! 25-30 pounds dog.

There isn't any weight difference. If anything Odom was thicker and stronger than AD.

Davis's main weakness is injury and frailness. He has GOAT ability but to think he's bullying anybody lmao... you haven't been watching. He's a finesse player.

You calling him a liar?

Besides, AD also weighs more, has a much longer reach, and plays bigger anyways.

AD has played center for multiple seasons. Odom only ever played center in rare instances. Basketball Reference has him spending around 20% at SF, 70% at PF, and 5% at C.

AD? literally a 50-50 split between PF and Center. In fact, in the playoffs, it's 34% PF, 66% C.

Odom is a SF/PF tweener that favors the PF position. AD is a KG/Duncan PF/C.

Harrell is shorter than Lebron lol.

7-4 wingspan, and an impressive standing reach.

Montrezl plays bigger than Odom. More dominant in the paint.

Listen, man. I know what you're trying to do.

You're trying to "get under my skin."

You've seen me having a legitimate basketball discussion, so you've come here to undermine me.

But guess what?

It's not working.

I'm totally not phased. AT ALL.

So why don't you take your beachball and hit the showers, kid. The beach is closed! [Lifeguard Megaphone voice]
