His body language, lack of aggression and determination tells me he did. Something is happening with the Heat that caused that, but this is a major stain on Jimmy's legacy regardless of the cause.

Of course he did. Nothing new here. Just like he quit in the Playoffs on Minnesota in 2018.....If he doesn't get 10-12 free throw attempts a game he can't create offense well enough to carry a team... So he ends up giving average role player numbers. His triple double in the NBA Finals was so inflated. And as you saw he never got number like that again.

Yes Jimmy Butler quit on the Heat this year he’s known to do this in the past.

Quit on the Sixers too.

There is a undeniable pattern now.

He played to the last breath with the Sixers, carrying them while injured. They quit on him actually. This is different, I have never seen him as dispassionate as in this series. super weird.

You kidding me?

He refused to shoot threes because his coach told him Ben Simmons was the point guard :lol

He works hard but I dont think he can lead. Also, consistency and fortitude are needed. You cant expect everyone to have the same grit as you have and quit on the team when you realize they dont. Not everyone will. But winning games is finding strengths, not expecting everyone to simply do as you do.

Regardless, it was a big payback for what happened last year.

Yeah it looks like Miami will have no choice but to trade him to the Celtics.

He played 67 games for the Sixers. I saw it with my own eyes. Deferring open threes consistently.

Ben was the point guard and Jimmy was needed to become more of a spot up shooter.

Then he tried to turn TJ against Simmons and Brown, and claim TJ should be starting point guard.

And then he tried to act like Brown was the one against Simmons because he told Jimmy to handle the ball in the playoffs.

Then a couple weeks ago against the Sixers Jimmy started out the game by shooting three consecutive threes in the 1st quarter to troll Ben :lol

Given how poor brad is able to handle players with big personalities, that would be one of the worst moves ainge could make. Lol which makes it a move that ainge would make.

Butler was always a 2nd option , never a 1st option until last year , now the Miami franchise has learned their lesson,
buy a 1st option to go along with Jimmy

So its inference/conjecture. The Sixers should have dumped Simmons before Butler tbh. But thats not quitting on a team, its not playing hard and shrugging in press conferences afterwards, and he never did that with the Sixers or any other team, prior to this series.

When Jimmy Butler first got good, he was easy to root for. He worked really hard, did all the little things and at the end of the game he would have 20pts etc. Then ppl started saying he was good and he started to believe it in the wrong way. He went from being a good guy to have on your team, to a guy who thought he was a lot better than he really was. He because volatile and very disruptive all under the guise of “I just wanna win.” Lol he is a good number two on a team in terms of his talent level but if you look at his stints in Minny, Philadelphia and now this bs I don’t think there’s gonna be a big market for a guy his age making 35 mil a year. Good luck Miami.

Tf? I think jimmy knows he is a number 2. Its really not that serious....the heat didnt get better. They are basically the same team right now as they were in the finals BUT everybody else got better. The bucks are better than they were in the bubble, the celtics got better they just injured but brown and tatum got better. Herro didnt improve, duncan didnt, dragic didnt, adebayo didnt take the jump we thought he would, jimmy didnt. U look at every team in the playoffs out east and they all got better from a year ago except the heat.
