In 1990 MJ had the worst 3pt shooting result ever.

In NBA history.

5/30, 16% shooting

Look it up everyone. MJ can't shoot.

Dirk and Jason Terry.

Nash and Joe Johnson deserve a mention too.

Thank you, come again.

That's what happened in the Finals when critics challenged MJs 3pt shooting.

What about Mullin/Hardaway or Mullin/Richmond? I'd also put Stockton/Hornacek up there.

I want to mention Bird and Ainge for Boston Celtics. These two guys had a stretch of 4 years where they could hurt you. In the 87 and 88 season Bird was 50-40-90 for 2 years in a row and Ainge was very close - here are the stat lines for both for both years.
Bird was FG 52.5 and for 3 = 40.0 and FT was 91.0 on 28.1 pts/game
Ainge was FG 48.6 and for 3 = 44.3 and FT was 89.7 on 14.8 pts/game the next year for 88 =
Bird was FG 52.7 and for 3 = 41.4 and FT was 91.6 on 29.9 pts /game
Ainge was 49.1 and for 3 = 41.5 and FT was 87.8 on 15.7 pts/game.
Loved watching these guys play!
