Some minutes ago Efes beat Barcelona 86-81 in a very competitive game.

Barcelona:

1.Mirotic

Had a pretty solid NBA run, but choose to come back to Europe last year(highest paid player in Euroleague).
Was very good this season, put up 19ppg in the Spanish league and won MVP, he is pretty much the exact same player he was in the NBA, just as the number 1 option, good/versatile offensive player, mediocre to bad defensive player.

Had a bad game tonight, couldn't get going offensively and was mediocre defensively, one of the reasons Barcelona lost.

2.Gasol

Is a billion years old, plays limited minutes as a luxury backup center.
He was a net positive tonight in the limited time he played, used his verticality to protect the rim quite well.

3.Calathes

Was a min minimum contract role player in the NBA, I've always found him to be overrated and overpaid on the Euroleague level.
Absolute dogsh** performance tonight, bad on offense, terrible at defense.

4 .Abrines

Was a pretty solid rotation guy on the thunder, similar role on Barcelona.
Fairly standard game from him tonight, played ok defense, passive on offense.

5.Claver

Bench warmer on the NBA, rotation guy on Euroleague level.
Was a non factor today.

6.Bolmaro

Is heading to the Timberwolves next season.
Good size for a wing, solid athlete, great motor.
Is a defensive difference maker on the Euroleague level, high effort, quick feet, good defensive awareness despite young age.
If properly developed, could be a 6'7 Caruso with a better handle. Unfortunately, he is heading to the Wolves who are an absolute joke of an organization and will probably misuse him.
Played great today, good defense, crashed the boards, didn't force anything offensively.

EFES

1.Larkin

Good offensive player, but too small to defensively justify playing him on the NBA.
You can barely get away with playing him on the Euroleague level, because his offense is more valuable here and he is easier to hide defensively.
Great game tonight , perfect from the line, drew a lot of fouls, significant contribution to the victory.

2.Pleiss

Was a limited minutes back up stretch 4 in the NBA, same role in EFES .
Good game, played only in the first half, made a couple of jump shots, grabbed some rebounds and was decent defensively.

3.Micic

Heading to the Thunder next year.
Age 27, has been absolutely killing it the past couple of years, MVP this season.
Great size at PG ( 6'5 with a wide frame), decent speed but might face issues against top NBA guards, great shooter/passer, can attack opposing bigs on the switch, clutch, takes and makes tough shots.
It's difficult to predict how he will translate to the NBA, he is heading to a team where he doesn't fit into the timeline, they will probably try to flip him for assets come trade deadline time.
Classic game today, he attacked Barcelona's bigs and lived at the rim, made some big jusmpshots as well, carried his team to victory.

4. Beaubios

Talented but inconsistent scorer that never figured it out on the NBA level, same story in Euroleague.
Euroleague JR Smith, tonight one of those 3 points on 5 shots type of JR Smith performances.

Nikola Mirotic wasn't the Spanish League MVP this season. Giorgi Shermadini was the Spanish League's MVP this season:

Mirotic's scoring average in the Spanish League was 14.4 points per game, not 19:

Victor Claver isn't much of a rotation player in EuroLeague. Claver played in about 1/3 of the EuroLeague games, and averaged 12 minutes a game:

He's Barca's 12th man on the season. In NBA terms, a team's 12th man is considered a bench warmer.

Vasilije Micic isn't a point guard, even though US sports incorrectly media claims he is. He's played at the SG position for several years now.

In case anyone is wondering, these players that played in the final, also played in the NBA.
