[Charania] Good news for AD and the Lakers: Davis avoided a more serious injury. He has a chance to play in Game 5 in Phoenix, but status is very much in question.

Might as well rest him in game 5. KCP should be back next game with his solid perimeter defense.

Gameplan around LeBron & play him 40mins. I think LeBron can respond much more aggressively. He can destroy Crowder by getting him into foul trouble. Get Gasol some extra minutes and our guards need to stop chucking up dumb 3s. Drive into the paint, move the ball around and stop with the careless passes into traffic to limit foolish turnovers.

Only thing is Willis Reed played in an era with no 3lt shooting. People played a lot of half-court game. Big men didn't have to go defend on the perimeter. If AD played, he would have to go defend on the perimeter often unless if he just defended ayton in the post.

You're saying that like they had a choice. Who could they have gotten over AD with those picks to get a title asap, because Lebron ain't waiting for anyone to develop (which is 100% understandable considering his age).

If Davis injury isn't serious & needs some recovery time healing, then he can't play because if he plays he will get seriously injured & make it worse.
