Of course he's famous, and he's probably New York, in fact I bet he's Philly and Philly-New York metroplex including all parts of New Jersey, too, but he's not world, or U.S. famous (99%).

She probably wasn't even born during Adam Sandler's prime. Combine that with his voice being muffled by the mask and him being average/below average height with no striking features. You can't really blame her. :confusedshrug:
