1. LeBron - No player has ever commanded more leadership on and off the court than LeBron. Leadership is all about getting everybody to buy in to winning regardless of personal stats or shine. Great leaders make others want to earn their respect at all costs. LeBron is the guy who demands respect from all of his teammates at the highest level we've ever seen in professional sports and we'll never see anything like it again. He's the greatest leader in the history of mankind

2. Bill Russell

3. Magic Johnson

4. Larry Bird

Everybody got their own style and the way they lead. Michael was in your face, he challenged his teammates. Larry was our leader (with the Celtics), and he led by example. You know, he wasn’t a vocal leader, he let his play dictate how we should play. I think Larry’s style and philosophy makes the best leaders because if you are a yeller and a screamer, after a while, your voice fall on deaf ears, and players just kinda tune you out, don’t hear what you got to say. I respect both leadership styles, but I prefer Larry’s style the best. Cause you know, some nights you don’t want to hear what he got to say, speaking of Michael.

5. Steve Nash

Can't wait to see which bandwagon they hop onto next once he retires. Probably Doncic.

Only LeBron could turn a washed up Dwight Howard into daily topic discussions about his value. Only LeBron could turn Anthony Davis into Kareem Abdul-Jabbar discussion. Only LeBron could turn Kyrie Irving into a hall-of-famer.

LeBron, Magic, & Russell would probably be at the top of my list. I agree OP. It's well known MJ & Kobe didn't respect their teammates at all.

I would also throw Bill Walton in there as far as best leaders.

Great leaders don’t pout. Great leaders rally their troops in the midst of adversity.

LeBron isn't even in the top ten. There have been way too many times where the cameras on on him during a pregame huddle and he's heard telling his teammates "Follow my lead." A real leader doesn't need to say crap like that. He already knows his teammates will be looking to him to set an example.

High IQ player who will get you wins, but you can tell his demanding personality rubs teammates the wrong way. Of course, you cant still be a great leader if you have such a personality, but the very best leaders in my opinion are the ones who demand results, but at the same time create a high morale environment, guys like LeBron & Magic are great examples of that.

Lebron doesn't create a high morale environment. We have video proof:

Maybe he should have also issued an apology for repeatedly alienating his teammates?

Was that the moment LeBron realized he had 1 timeout remaining? I can understand JR Smith not knowing how many TO's you have left, I don't understand how LeBron didn't know :confusedshrug:

Idk. Maybe but in 2018, he literally had a shot. However another wrong-timed injury had robbed him of that opportunity.

Lebron just left the bench for the locker room with half the quarter to go in the 4th.

Piss poor display of leadership.

A real leader stays out there.
