first off, the show is good, but kevin bacon's character is the best part of that show because he nailed the role and executes it flawlessly. you legitimately believe he's a piece of shit. but, the show is not on the same level as Bosch and The Wire, not even close pal.

I’ve seen the first season of Bosch and it was nothing special. Pretty straightforward police procedural show I thought. Does it get more complex and add more depth in later seasons?

Season 1 draws you in. Seasons 2-4 really get you hooked. Last season was a bit of a stretch for me when Bosch went undercover. But in terms of realism, this show has it all.

I really like the show. I liked season one a lot more though. I felt like season two was a little all over the place in plot. Just a lot going on. Bacon is incredible. One of the other things the show does excellently is the setting. It hits that early to mid nineties vibe right on the head without feeling over the top. It ticks off the cars, the music, the clothes, just the whole vibe, without having every third character wearing zubas pants.

It was nice that it wasn't on in the same time slot as Mare of Eastown on Sunday nights. It was a nice 2 hour end to the weekend while it lasted.
