Great question OP. Short answer, no.
These are the reasons LeFam is confident in his status. His record are unbreakable. Nobody in history has a chance to top him. He is the GOAT standard.

I would not be shocked If Lebron attempted to play until at least he was 45 years old as Brady did to keep stat padding his longevity stats and make all of them basically unbreakable to future players before he then retires.

The guy might not even be playing yet. He might be a fetus right now. But it'll happen.
Medical and health science is only getting better so players will play longer and be hurt less.
With how the game is going, eventually most defense is going to be illegal and we're going to be getting 150-140 scores every night.
We might not live to see it, but the game has a longer memory than we do.

Giannis or luka will. No matter what team those two guys are on they are gonna make it to the playoffs every year and it appears luka cant be swept....didnt he go 7 or 6 games with the clipps last year? The more playoff games u play the more opportunities for points.....imagine if the 2001 lakers didnt sweep every western team on their way to the finals that year....looking at an extra at LEAST 100 points for kobe and shaq.

Right. This stat is the special combination of the following:
1. Playing for years in a weak conference.
2. The inability to quickly end a series with your opponent. Lots of 7 game rounds with teams like the Hawks and Pacers = the ability to rack up points.
3. First rounds being 7 game series. This didn't happen until 2003; they were 5 before that and years earlier, no first round at all. Advantage = current player.
4. When you don't have an education (no college) and start playing straight out of high school this helps your chances. The GOATS have college rings (Jordan, KAJ).
The more Lebron's points are bragged about and he still only has 4* rings (2 season shortened, 2 have bailouts from teammates) this doesn't help your case. If your argument is look how great he is by longevity playoff numbers, then why so many failures?
Le-elminated.

It's gonna be difficult, you're gonna have to have lots of variables break that players way for it to happen...first and foremost, longevity and I must give credit to LeBron for this, he was for the longest time basically indestructible but as we've seen recently, Father Time is undefeated. Second, he will need to have the collusion mentality like LBJ, to gather his top NBA buddies into one team. Third, he will need to play in a historically bad conference to ensure deep playoffs runs. And last but most importantly, he will need to put his personal stats above team success, just like Bran...even when your team is getting demolished, stay out there in the fourth qtr and keep piling up meaningless points, rebs and assists in an already long decided game. Another poster already mentioned this and it's a great point, the NBA is heading towards a defenseless game, 187-179 scores aren't that far away.
Gonna be hard but not impossible, might even see it in our lifetime...

you just need to lead your team in finals scoring its not that hard
# of times leading your team in Finals Scoring:
1. LeBron = 9x
legap
2. Jordan = 6x
3. Shaq = 5x
4. Kareem = 5x
5. Duncan = 4x
6. Hakeem 3x
7. Kobe = 3x
8. Durant = 3x
9. Curry = 3x
kd could get #4 this year but thats a big if. i see him outsoring harden and kyrie if he makes finals but thats only 4 he needs 2 more to pass mike and 6 more to pass bran
10 is the bar set. good luck

I like having 6 NBA championships in one decade for my favorite team, back to back threepeats in the modern era...you can have the journeyman's NBA trophies, 2, 1, and 1. BTW, do you only stan the player and actually not have a favorite team? I'm a Bulls fan first and foremost, although we haven't had much to cheer for since that 90s dynasty :(

Lol, I honestly DGAF if you think those rings are weak or not, last year's Heat were probably the worst team to ever make the Finals but that was LBJ's fourth ring and they count as much as his other three :confusedshrug:
I've seen your weak rings argument destroyed by countless NBA experts, not gonna go into a back and forth on this debate, like I said, I DGAF if his rings impress you or not. It impresses enough people to where MJ is considered by a decided majority as the GOAT.

They are all equally great, the road to the championship stage is hard, and only a handful of players out of the thousands that have played, wear rings as that team's best player. You ever notice I don't partake in those silly threads about the strength of rings? Do you want to know why? Because they are stupid, a championship doesn't just include the two Finals teams, it takes a team to go through an 82 game grind where injuries can destroy a team, then you have to go through the playoffs to finally get a chance for an NBA trophy...when I look at say the 1998 NBA championship season, I take into account the fact that the Bulls went through turmoil because everyone knew it would most likely be their last chance because Krause made it clear it was PJax last season as coach, I look at the injury to Pippen who missed about 30 games, I look at how Pippen was hobbled in the playoffs with a bad back, I look at how MJ had to carry an extra load because of that at an already physically declining age of 35. I look at a bunch of variables within that championship season to see how difficult the journey to that ring was...only retards look at the final match, 1998 Bulls vs Jazz to determine "strength of ring" as if the rest of the season and playoffs and injuries and other variables never happened...that's why I don't debate in those threads, because I'm not retarded, I actually want context...

Which is really good still considering some of the centers that played in the nba

Nobody will stack his team so much in such a weak conference while ballhogging so much and still needing so many games just to get through

Nobody will catch mj's 33.5 carrer scoring average. Even with this easier era mj won't be caught. Plenty will probably pass lebrons 28.5 ppg though. This easy era that's helped him maintain his numbers will also help the new generation pass him

I agree, Legoat will remain unsurpassed forever. Nobody will ever stack his team so much in such a weak conference while ballhogging so much and still needing so many games just to get through

No one cares about a fake list where Allen Iverson is 2nd :lol
What are you trying to do, bring down MJ's legacy even more? :lol

Right because a list where tony parker is ahead if wade, chamberlain bird, hakeem, harden, steph, barkley and almost everyone is so much better :facepalm
