What the hell is going on with KP in this series

KP I think I might be wrong on this is averaging 11ppg and 4 rebounds a game on 35% shooting for this series all the while playing bad defence and he also had 8 points to go along with 6 rebounds tonight.




How is Kp personally not thriving with all the attention Luka is getting? I just don’t get it as if he been even competent then this series would have already been over.

I honestly don't think I have ever seen a second option play this bad in a playoff series ever.


Every time he gets the ball he gets bodied out of the paint by some 6'7 dude which eats 10 seconds off the shot clock and then he passes it back or shoots some off-balance shot pleading for a foul to be called by the Refs.

I think a big part of the problem is that he's CONSTANTLY looking for his shot 100% of the time he's on the floor and with that he's too predictable for team defenses.

Mavs run their action, KP sets his pick and flares, defense responds, ball gets swung and it's one of the Mavs other role players taking the wide open look.

If he did something that was geared towards getting others involved let the defense react and on the 3rd and 4th pass he would be the guy taking the wide open shot or rolling to the basket for the easy two.

Dude is soft as shit. I can understand shooting poorly, what I can't understand is not fighting for rebounds as a 7 footer, and not aggressively attacking the rim when you have 6' 5" players next to you on switches. You know his team probably doesn't respect him at all.

Injuries ended whatever potential he had IMO.

He was great in the 2nd half of last season and a monster in games Luka was out for. They ended Milwaukee's 18 game winning streak without Luka with KP going off and were only 1 of like 3 teams to beat the Sixers @ Philly and he went off that game too.

In the last 20 games of the RS he averaged 27/11/2/2 on 47/37/85. If he was healthy with the way he was playing last year they would've been the Clips but the injury he got in that series was probably the last nail.
