I might be the only one who can explain this properly


why losing in the finals is worse FOR SOME

its all about expectations. if youre an all time great player then losing in the finals is bad. if however you're jimmy butler with zero accomplishments then just making the finals and losing can be a success

if you're chasing Jordan then losing in the finals is bad

if you're chasing nobody then nobodies holding you to a standard


if the Lakers lose in round 1 it shows they're not finals material. so yes this isn't as bad as a 2011, 2014 type failure

but it does expose lebron as being washed up since 2019 and only winning last year cause of Anthony davis and only being able to hijack finals mvp due to a poor finals matchup. it was a bogus title in a fake bubble season. that's all this proves. this doesn't prove lebron sucks in the finals more often than not. that has already been proven to be a fact
