I'm considering one to print some garage wall mounts for tools and make some AR15/10/308 80% lower receivers, magazines and spikes to prevent bird nesting on my home's pilings. The list is really endless...
The general recommendation for a first time buy is the Ender 3v2 -- any thoughts?

I have one at work. It's a cheaper one, but we use it occasionally to print parts out quickly (relatively) so we can look at them.

Interesting, I've never come across xyz but I see they sell it everywhere. My only issue is that the print bed is just a bit smaller than I'd like for some of the mounts.
I've been looking at some with a print bed size of 500mmx500mm which is roughly 20'' but that's not an Ender printer so it doesnt have as much support. The ender's only ~220mm whereas the xyz is 150mm.
Hi, I'm Dan. I have a 3D printer. What's it do? It prints objects, usually in plastic based on designs that you can't make with regular means (like a conventional 3D printer). 3D printers have been around for decades but are just now starting to gain popularity. If you have one, and aren't sure what to create...have you tried making things in 'Sculptris'? A 3D printer is an amazing invention. How about you? You may have seen someone using one and wondered how exactly it works. Well, luckily for us, there are a lot of videos out there that explain the ins and outs of a 3D printer (https://sublimationhome.com/best-3d-sublimation-heat-press/). In this article, I'll show you some cool examples of people using their 3D printers . . .

My dad has one but I don’t think he’s ever used it.
I think they are a bit complicated but if your good with electronics you’ll be fine. I think you can find designs online and input the data into your machine to replicate the designs with relative ease.
Next time I visit I may try to create something with my dads machine.

I dont think its really possible to 3d print a strong/reliable ar10 lower at the moment, and from what I have read printed ar15 lowers have a long way to go before they are anything more than just a fun little meme. If you really want a printed firearm, it seems like the cartridge you should be building around is 9mm.
I also cant really see the point of printed magazines... even if you print the mag case you will still need to buy a spring and follower. Also its kind of critical that you have properly functioning mags if you want your firearm to feed properly, so why would you waste time and energy on unreliable printed mags the real ones are cheap and plentiful?
