I’ve been saying this all season. Sixers have a #1 (embiid) and 2 #3’s (Ben/Tobias). And lately Ben has been playing like a #4. I’m trying to be nice and not call him an outright role player.

A Brad Beal, Dame Lillard. A scoring guard that can get buckets so what this team needs. A guy you can give the ball two, say f*ck the offensive set we need a score whatever the situation. That’s what Trae Young did. Didn’t have the best shooting night but he still got the ball and when that bucket was needed at key points in the game.

Whether a trade is pulled off? Another story. Only hesitation I had for James Harden was would he stay here after his deal expires. But Houston asked for way too much due to Morey. So that’s neither here nor there. We need a scoring guard by any means. And no Maxey ain’t it. He could be the answer to our bench having an instant scorer.

That 2019 team was nasty. I remember how shook I felt when redick would go up for a shot and he'd drill it much of the time. We already know what butler does when he has a decent team.

Since then embiid improved he was already one of the best bigs and now he's an MVP-level player meanwhile simmons hasn't done shit considering his hype and stature as a top pick. He's not a bust but he's definitely one of the weakest number one picks in recent years.

Series isnt over. Young teams are prone to making mistakes and as fun as these hawks are to watch, they still dont have a lot of experience outside of maybe lou and gallo. The nets would eat this team alive. I would surprised if they get more than 1 game.

It all depends on Dame and whant the Blazers are willing to do for him and if he is content in Portland.

The only way he is getting dealt is if he demands a trade. In that situation then there is probably a good chance of getting him because other teams probably don't have a piece to move like Simmons.

Conversely, I was thinking if Dame stays in Portland they are going to have to radically change their team and they could want Simmons as a part of their team as a prime defender next to Dame.

A deal centred around McCollum and RoCo would be pretty sweet too IMHO.

I,m talking about missing a game in this series. I like Embid, he is by far the most talented big man in the game and a great competitor. I don't like how he carries himself when things aren't going his way. Under adversity his body language is terrible and he is reckless and borderline dirty at times.

What a poor example. If you watch the play Dwight Howard set a moving screen, which is the only reason why Maxey was wide open. The holding call on Lou Williams was bogus, he was trying to get around Dwight, that was an offensive foul.
With the series tied it should be obvious by now, either the Sixers are not as good as advertised or Atlanta is better than advertised or both. Seth has been on fire hitting clutch shots, Bogi has not been able to buy a bucket this series is about which teams roll players show up and show out in the 2nd half. This is a toss up series with Atlanta missing their 2nd best player.

With 4:03 remaining in the fourth and Philadelphia leading 92-85, Embiid rebounded a Seth Curry miss and scored on a putback, striking Collins with his forearm in the process.

While the pair of big men were on the ground, Collins pushed Embiid, and the two went chest to chest once they got up, careening toward the stanchion, with players from both teams joining the fray.

There could have been some lingering tension between the two stemming from a third-quarter alley-oop that Collins threw down on the Sixers center, when Embiid was called for a foul even though Collins made contact with Embiid's face on the way up.

In their later skirmish, Embiid was called for an offensive foul and Philadelphia coach Doc Rivers challenged the ruling. After an official's review, the offensive foul stood and both Embiid and Collins were assessed a technical foul.

Indeed, no Sixers starter -- Embiid included -- attempted a free throw through the first three quarters. In the final frame, however, the Sixers went 15-for-20 from the line, compared to the Hawks' 6-for-12 showing.

Some of the referees' whistles against Philadelphia might have aided the Sixers in a roundabout way. "We have to keep our composure," Capela said. "I have to keep my composure when I guard Embiid. I know he'll make tough shots. I know he's great at what he does. Every time I have to focus on the next action and, for my part, make his job as hard as I can. I know he'll make some tough shots. That's OK.
