Here is a 38-year-old Kareem's series highlights against what many consider to be the greatest frontline in Nba history

You could make the argument Kareem is number two all time and Bron is still chasing him.

LeBron might get one more championship and FMVP. We'll see how things turn out.
He's 36 and a 1/2 right now.

Yeah that's true but I honestly don't see it happening because of this Nets super team.

kareem was amazing ...
I enjoyed his matchups with Wilt at the MECCA in Milwaukee...

Lebron championship days are over he’s only 4/18 so it is unlikely anyway

7,631 points.
Either that or Bill Russell's 11 rings.

Imagine any other 38 y.o winning FMVP in a series that featured prime/peak Bird AND Magic. But Lebron fans are sucking his nuts for stat-padding down 20-30 points in losses. :kobe:

Kawhi in 2014 for entire playoffs had higher VORP and win shares, wasn't playing with anybody as good as prime magic johnson, had to guard LeBron who is better then Bird.
I would say kawhi in 2014 was better.

I think the OP is stressing that KAJ was already damn near 40 when he won FMVP. That is impressive.

What's crazy is if you take out the outlier of his bad Game 1 where he only played 22 minutes in a blowout, he averaged 28/10/6 on 61% the rest of the series.
It's a hell of an accomplishment. The GOAT feat though? Idk about that

Why are you giving a legitimate response to a guy arguing that a role player FMVP is the most impressive feat in NBA history :lol

The bold is an interesting statement in basketball. I understand the point that it's a remark on the accumulation of talent. How often have we seen it play out on the court that the actual best frontline in NBA history has Wilt, KAJ or Shaq and whoever they played with that year though. The thread is kind of evidence to that point.

80s basketball was so slow and methodical that's it pitiful. Jordan revolutionized basketball.

the points without the rings makes this record a bad one
its like having the most at bats ever and not even having a top 30 hit total

even I don't believe that
silver balls just mean you're the best loser
and that's only if you came out the west... theres probly 1 or 2 better losers every time lebron got a silver ball

mike won more championships of course but who is he beating? if its all about chips then russell is the goat and we close the convo but its not all about chips. kobes 2010 ring is better then any ring mike won. bostons big 3 is a huge finals win

kobes 60 point retirement game with the big 4th quarter comeback and go ahead shot in a babe ruth called shot moment was the most amazing thing I've ever seen and I saw the 81 point game live
it was almost like a movie. made no sense. and they were mostly long contested shots so how do you fake that

we say "who is he beating" because jordan made them appear that way. if Jordan choked most of his finals away we look at people like drexler, barkley, Payton, Kemp, Malone and Stockton in an entirely different way
if magic beats mj in 91 he might be undisputed goat right now
