Yeah this 100% should not be going to a game 7

For so many reasons

Kawhi almost lost to the 76ers and was lucky with Warriors injuries to get that title. He is one if the best in the NBA but not unbeatable, nobody is. Doncic is just really good and like with Dirk, Carlisle has built a great system and right cast for Luka. Every game it seems more likely that the Mavs could put on a Dirk style championship run. Probably couldn't beat Nets unless injured but if they win against the Clippers, what team couldn't they beat?

I'm not saying Mavs would beat any of the teams but if Luka can get by two stud wing defenders scoring machines like kawhi/pg, seems like he could be reaching the point where he could beat any team, any given night regardlessof how good that team is on paper compared to mavs roster. We'll see if he takes another step forward by winning game 7 first

Everyone looks underwhelming alongside Luka's ball-dominance, so he'll need a super-team to handle the reduction of teammates - he simply cannot win organically..

We saw this for 20 years with Lebron. It looks like we'll see it again with Luka, so we should get ready for "it" (the inevitable need for ready-made talent because team strategy, brand and young players are stalled by having spot-up roles imposed on everyone).

It's easy to conflate high shot attempts with high hold-time (ball-dominance).

Off-guards like MJ or Reggie Miller could take 30 shots without barely dribbling or touching the ball (Jordan was obviously more ball-dominant than Miller, but he was still an off-guard and nowhere near Luka or point guards).

Other than the 41 games in Jordan's career that he played point guard (32/8/9 according to NBC Sports (https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/why-michael-jordan-shouldve-been-point-guard-according-don-nelson)), he never held the ball or used live dribbles as much as Luka - no one outside of Harden or Lebron has matched Luka's time of possession in this series..

This matters because Luka will have to change his style or collude to win, while Jordan didn't have to change anything - other than 1st Round losses in 86' and 87', Jordan had career-high usage in the 93', 97', or 98' Playoffs, and 36/7/8 in the 91-93' Finals... So he didn't change or "tone it down" to win rings - he simply proved that his unprecedented style of winning (scoring champ carry-jobs) was the most dominant way to win (6/6).
