Running an offense through one guy when there's 4 other guys that also need ball isn't GOATness

Applying scorched earth on any team you leave to ensure they're in a much worse spot without you isn't GOATness

It disqualifies you from top 10 talks if anything

No because most players through out history didn't jump ship like bron.

Not faulting him for it btw. He's free to go wherever he wants. This can't be the measurement however since most players didn't jump ship like him

Best way is to show how many titles they won for the franchise that drafted them.

Unadjusted or raw plus-minus is a terrible stat quite frankly.

Adjusted plus-minus is good when you take into account teammates on the floor, opponents on the floor, exclude garbage time minutes etc. The problem then is you end up with a tiny sample size when adjusting for all these factors. Playoff sample sizes are tiny to begin with; around 20 games is nothing.

So basically rapm is garbage because of small sample size

Maybe it helps determine lineups that produce the most or a certain player that kills the team, but it's useless for player comparison

So you want to stick your head in the sand and forget the egg he laid in the 2011 Finals?
Are we to forget he missed the playoffs his 1st two years in the league and also in 2019 when playoff mode was activated?
Are we to forget he's been swept twice in the Finals?
Are we to forget his 6 Finals defeats?
Are we to forget he teamed up with 2 above Pippen level players and lost half of the Finals he played with them?
Should I keep going?

Lebron had a negative net rating in the 13' Finals, thus invalidating his FMVP

Not really. These things never happen in a vacuum. Often when a superstar leaves a team, coaches and management will realize that their window of time to contend for a title has just slammed shut. The remaining talent is good enough to maybe have a .500 record and sneak into the playoffs, where they'll get spanked in the first round. Obviously that's the worst situation for a team to be in. If you can't be really good, be really bad. So the team cleans house. Vets are traded for draft picks or allowed to walk. The team brings in younger players, free agents, maybe a vet or two at the tail end of their career to provide experience and stability. So the team that takes the court for the first game of the following season looks nothing like that team that finished the previous season. The new team was designed to suck so that the organization can get a lottery pick and start rebuilding. And guess what... they usually do suck.

No. On/off data is just correlations.

Correlation does not equal causation.
