That late 1980's Jazz team were a good team they lost to the showtime lakers, and drexler's blazers. Malone was a better player than Giannis.

Not really groundbreaking info because Malone was insanely good.

If you put Tim Duncan in the same situation as Karl Malone. I doubt he's capable of winning more than 2 nba titles.

He would be lucky to get one honestly, maybe he steals one of Olajuwon's rings but I doubt it. The competition is loaded at the big forward and center spots so I dont see how he stands out although he is obviously at that level. Olajuwon, Robinson, Barkley, Malone, Shaq and Ewing etc. Not to mention the 80s superteams he would face early in his career and then the Bulls in the 90s.

It largely depends on which team he's on and who he's playing with. Duncan is better than all those guys with the exception of maybe peak Shaq, but even Duncan beat him and Kobe in 2003.
Keep in mind, Duncan played against great centers and forwards too during his time like Zo, Malone, KG, Dirk, Shaq, Webber, B. Wallace, R. Wallace, etc. So I don't think it matters if he was in the 80s or early 90s.

Peak for peak Olajuwon was better. Most people have the 90s as the golden age of big men/centers so i dont know why you namedropped guys like Zo,Webber and the Wallace boys who are clearly a tier or two below the guys I mentioned.
He is playing in Utah in place of Malone so how many rings does he win in that scenario?

I agree in terms of peak, Olajuwon > Duncan for sure.
It's not really an apples to apples comparison though. Malone had Barkley and Kemp at his position whereas Duncan had Malone, KG, Dirk, Wallace, Webber and other really talented PFs. I'm not as big on peak Shaq as I think the league had a big hand in his peak.
And I think Duncan can guard Hakeem whereas Malone couldn't. Malone was a good, not a great defender. At the very least, I think Utah with Duncan could have won in 1994 with Duncan as opposed to Malone. And Duncan is better than everyone you listed with the exception of Hakeem.

He played Center for more than half of his rings and these guys were matching up with each other all the time regardless of position.
Duncan would have been 29 in Malone's place in 1994 and in his actual career he was losing to Dirk and Terry at that age.
Its not really a given that he would win going up against peak/prime versions of Robinson/Rodman, Mutombo, Olajuwon then Ewing/Oakley/Mason enroute to a ring in 1994.
