With harden injured, Nets still a super team?
This is basically similar to Lebron Miami and Cleveland teams, also current laker teams
2 superstars with a bunch of former all star bench players
Kawhi first year on the East = champion
KD first year on the east= champion (most likely)
Lebron first year on the west = lottery team
We Lebron family eating good boys

this is a very good point.
Nets currently have KD +Kyrie
Cavs had Lebron + Kyrie + Love
the Nets don't have a 3rd option as good as Love was.
but for some reason, this Nets team looks 1000000000x better than that Cavs team. the difference is that KD >>>>> Lebron.

Does it really? The Cavs were dismantling a very good raptors team in the second rounds on their way to the finals.

Lebron created the biggest superteam. It just so happened that they underperformed and he quit on the team that did only 2/4. Seems like they liked losing to grandpa teams.
They were in their primes. Not coming from injuries. We have not seen anything like this before. Hence, "not 1, not 2, not 3, not 8...". And don't forget when they said "Yes. We. Did." They knew that they fked up the league. They knew how dominant they were compared to everyone else and they flaunted that sht.
This nets team have older versions of KD and Harden who have both been on/off due to injuries. There are a lot of ifs. The MIA superteam should not be compared to the current nets team.
This video below, we have not seen anything like it. The hype, the expectation, the disbelief. It was all there. Yes, they did the unthinkable.

^^^ only after the "decision" to form a super-team in a conference that 1-star teams were winning (the definition of stacking the deck)
After winning the conference on his own in 2009, Dwight would've made many Finals if he teamed up with Wade/Bosh... :confusedshrug:

To me a super team is one where even if you take the best player out, they'd still win around 50 games and at least get past the 1st round.
Taking Harden out of the equation, current Nets without KD are by no means a 50-win team. That's a low level playoff team that would play around .500 basketball with Kyrie in charge. Basically what they were in 2020 without KD.
So no, Nets in their current state are by no mean a "super team". It's a good roster made great by the addition of a superstar. Built in the traditional mold of superstar (KD) + All Star (Kyrie) + some good role players. This is a golden opportunity for KD to turn the narrative around him. This would be a true alpha dog ring if he can go all the way (assuming Harden doesn't return).

The 95' Bulls were a bummy .500 team that Jordan carried to another 3-peat.
So your attempt to paint the Bulls as a super-team failed - teams aren't called super-teams after the fact just because they did really well - that's being results-oriented and ignores overachievement

Super teams in recent memory would be 17-19 GSW, 2011 Heat, 1996 Bulls and some of those Laker and Celtic teams in the 80's.

FINALS
13' Wade...... 20/5/5 on 47%
96' Pippen.... 16/8/5 on 34%
97' Pippen.... 20/8/3 on 42%
(Rodman averaged 4/8 in 97' Playoffs)
Why weren't the 13' Heat a super-team, but the 96/97 Bulls were?
You're clearly biased for Lebron, your fake goat.. carry on

Yeah, the Bulls were definitely NOT a superteam. How do you have a superteam with ONE reliable volume scorer?

Irving destroyed curry in 2016 finals. Irving is a goat level offensive point guard. Anytime your 2nd best player is Irving, you have a super team.
However, this is durant's super team and that's what makes it better for his legacy. Joining warriors was bad because they were already champions. Now it's just durant, his buddy Irving and a bunch of scrubs.

Blake and Harris are not scrubs. Especially Blake. He still has his all star ability.

If Harden doesn't come back, KD and Kyrie are full value for this Championship run. This is the team I wanted the Lakers to play in the Finals. What a missed opportunity.

If KD is always the best player on these ultrastacked superteams, then doesn't that validate him as a top 10-15 player of all time?

One more chip he will be ranked consensus higher than Lebron
KD has already accomplished something Lebron can never do
2peat with full seasons
not sure I just think he's a bitch
