Contrary to popular belief, Lebron has played fewer years on "stacked teams" than any other GOAT candidate aside from Wilt.

2003-2010, 2018, 2019: No player on his team that could be considered one of the 30 best players in the league.
2015, 2021: His all-star teammates suffer injuries that sideline them during the playoffs.

That leaves 2011-2014, 2016-2017, and 2020: Only seven seasons on a championship-calibre team with another all-star player. Lebron won 4 championships in those 7 seasons.

Jordan: 9/15 seasons on strong teams playing alongside one of the 30 best players in the league.
Russell 13/13 seasons on strong teams playing alongside one of the 30 best players in the league.
Magic: 12/13 seasons on strong teams playing alongside one of the 30 best players in the league.
Kareem: 16/20 seasons on strong teams playing alongside one of the 30 best players in the league.
Bird: 11/13 seasons on strong teams playing alongside one of the 30 best players in the league.
Duncan: 17/20 seasons on strong teams playing alongside one of the 30 best players in the league.
Kobe: 14/20 seasons on strong teams playing alongside one of the 30 best players in the league.

LeBron's probably one of the most unlucky players in the list of the top ten players of all time aside from Wilt Chamberlain as he played with no talent until his 7th year, and in 2015 he probably gets a ring if one of Irving or Love doesn't get hurt. Also, the cheap Durant-to-GSW move took away 2 more rings that he probably wins. Superstars in the past never had to go through a team like the '15-'19 Warriors.

LeBron also got heavily screwed over by the 2020 offseason - no superstar over the age of 30 in the past had to recover in like 40 days before starting a new season.

If we had to redo his career 10 times, the worst possible situation is probably winning 4 rings before the age of 36.

I don't think it's a matter of luck or lack thereof. 18 years in the league and he has never really been an anchor in a single team that kept a core set of players playing at a high level for more than a couple of years, ala Duncan and the Spurs. Or how Pippen and Grant, along with Jordan built that team up. GSW also built themselves up with the core of Curry, Klay, and Dray (Iggy as a critical piece). Lebron's bronball just dominates teammates and that creates this scenario that he does not have "great players" on his team. He tries to put all the numbers on his name, and what that does is prevent building up his teammates. I really don't buy this Lebron crap.

Agreed, he only had an all-nba teammate 5 times.

Jordan had an all-nba/all-defensive teammate 15 times

Literally 3 times the help for only 2 more rings

If you notice something about all those players...they never team hopped. Kareem is the only one who ever changed teams and he did it only once. LeBron has 3x the team hops as that entire list, combined.

Big Z was top 30 for a few of LeBron’s early years. Larry Hughs and Antwan Jamison were top 30 players or very close in the year before they played with LeBron. Mo Williams was a nice player and hovering around that territory too.

In 2015 LeBron was coasting and missed 13 games and played the least out of the big 3. The injuries could have still happened but it didn’t do them any favors to undergo extra wear and tear during the season as LeBron rested.

In 2018...his attitude and personality wore out Kyrie. He didn’t want to be a part of it anymore. There is a large part of that on LeBron. Kevin Love was also forced to change his game. He lost weight and couldn’t play around the rim like he did in Minnesota. He was a rebounding champion and had a record for the most consecutive double doubles ever.

2019, he reduced or drove away his teammates on his previous franchise so he team hopped again but not on a good enough team. He could have went to another team... He chose the Lakers because he knew it would be a big market that can attract more help and they had young assets to deal. This would eventually get flipped to bring in a top 5 player at least in Anthony Davis. 2019 he injured his groin so even if he had Anthony Davis that year it probably wouldn’t have gone anywhere.

LeBrons team hops, altering great players play style in order to fit his own, him wearing out his welcome with teammates, coaches, and front offices, pressuring the front office to sign bad contracts like Tristan Thompson...then bragging about how he got them paid...then complaining why he doesn’t have more help while they are in cap hell. It’s widely known LeBron has the most juice in the league when it comes to front office influence. He’s blown it quite a few times.

LeBron WAS the superteam

His presence made the team super, not the other way around. No LBJ team is winning 55 games with a 1994 Pete Myers replacment scenario. Period.

well let's see.

2004 big Z was an allstar a year before so he was at least top 30
2005 big Z was an official allstar so at least top 20 or so
2006 Larry Hughes averaged 22ppg with Washington before joining the cavs to average 15 and split shots with big z. top 30
2007 ditto
2008 maybe not
2009 mo Williams was an allstar averaging almost 20. top 30 easily
2010 shaq was at least top 30. he was an allstar mvp a year before that
2011 wade was top 5, bosh was top 15
2012 wade was top 10, bosh was top 15
2013 wade was tip 10, bosh was top 15
2014 wade was top 15, bosh was top 15
2015 kyrie was top 15, love was top 15
2016 kyrie was top 10, love was top 20
2017 kyrie was top 10, love was top 20
2018 love was top 25
2019 Ingram almost averaged 20ppg and is basically an allstar now so he was probably top 30
2020 Davis was top 5
2021 Davis was top 5

2008 is really lebrons only argument and surprise surprise. that was the year critics were saying he fell off a bit

Are you stupid?

Pippen and Grant were single-digit rookies and bench-warming BUMS - Jordan carried them to the 2nd Round and ECF (contention)

you guys are just liars

Pippen and Grant didn't build ANYTHING.. they're literally the most carried players ever by virtue of having 6 chips with role player stats

And even then, 2014 Wade & Bosh played like total shit and 2017 he ran into arguably the GOAT team. The year he truly fcked up and lost with the superior supporting cast was 2011

2014 Wade & Bosh played like total shit

Wade played great in 2014 Playoffs:

2014 ECF

Lebron.... 22/7/6
Wade...... 20/5/5

^^^ 1a/1b

The Spurs had simply figured out how to exploit the bad fit between Lebron/Wade - this is well-documented.

and 2017 he ran into arguably the GOAT team.

Why didn't lebron have a goat team with Kyrie like KD does now, or like KD had with Curry in 2017?

Lebron had the Curry-killer and therefore a sufficient cast.. How does any all-time great lose with a sidekick like Kyrie?

Unfortunately, Lebron's your-turn-my-turn brand wasted another dominant Finals from Kyrie in 2017

The year he truly fcked up and lost with the superior supporting cast was 2011

Lebron lost with equal or better casts including some favorites in 09', 10', 11', 14', 17'

He's teamhopped more than anyone. Tell most ATGs they could play with multiple stars. On not 1, not 2, but 3 different teams and they'd ask where to signup. :oldlol: Watch the Lakers make a splash in free agency and sign another star like Damian Lillard. LeBron will go from a 1st round, washed out 36 year old to HERO. Same thing happened with AD who outscored and defended LeBron in the playoffs yet wasn't given the credit.

LeBron's career is a farce. A complete caricature for greatness.

Why is the cutoff top 30 players? I mean, Julius Randle or CJ Mccollum or Jrue Holiday can be described as top 30 best player this season...I wouldn't think they would constitute a stacked team if a star has one of them as teammate.

Which 9 seasons? Pippen definitely wasn't a top 30 player in 1988 and 1989. That leaves 7/15 seasons with a star teammate in which MJ won 6 championships. The one year he didn't win in 1990 Pippen had the famous migraine in Game 7.

Kareem: 16/20 seasons on strong teams playing alongside one of the 30 best players in the league.

Oscar was injured in the 1972 playoffs. He was a role player in the 1974 playoffs. Magic was injured in the 1981 playoffs and in the 1989 Finals. Guys like Norm Nixon, Dantley, and Wilkes weren't all stars in 1978 and 1979. I see 10/20 for Kareem. Not to mention a more fair assessment would consider prime Kareem from 1970 to 1981. He only had a healthy star teammate 3 times in 1971, 1973, and 1980 out of 12 prime seasons.

Jordan played with an All-NBA and/or All-Defensive teammate 15 times in his first 15 seasons.

LeBron played with only 5 All-NBA/All-Defensive teammates in his first 15

Who was top 30 beside Duncan?

Also, these guys elevate their team mates, because they don't focus on their own empty stats and know how to play team sport.

I doubt half of these sidekicks would be top30 if they hadn't played alongside these all time Greats.
It's debatable half are even top 30 anyway

Just stop hahahahah

This is embarrassing...the entitled dude has team hopped and colluded multiple times...been bailed out with the biggest shots in nba history too...and you're sitting here saying he's unlucky and feeling sorry for him.

The dude is team killer...deal with it

The entitlement and fact it's "never his fault" is so fvcking laugable
