When you look at KD's career, you notice a lot of it was finishing 2nd behind LeBron. If LeBron never existed, KD hypothetically would have:
Been the youngest MVP ever, winning it in 2010 at the age of 21 (when he finished 2nd behind LeBron).
Won his 2nd and 3rd MVP's in 2012 and 2013 (he finished 2nd behind LeBron both years). By age 24, KD would have had 3 MVP's racked up.
Not to mention, there's a higher chance that OKC wins the 2012 NBA Championship and KD becomes one of the youngest Finals MVP's ever at age 23 and if that's the case then OKC's management decides to keep Harden instead of trading him and as a result, they become a serious dynasty.
KD's actual first MVP in 2014 would have been his 4th -- he may have had a 3peat of MVP's by the age of only 25.
KD's 4 scoring titles by age 25 would also hold that much more weight.
By receiving all these accolades and praise so early on in his career, he may have never left OKC.
Of course, this is all hypothetical. There's no telling that all these events would have played out exactly the same way, but it's interesting to think about. Is there a chance that he may have cracked the Top 10 all-time if LeBron never existed?
