but... i'm currently in the middle of rdr2 and with elden ring's performance issues on pc and the possibility of ray tracing being added in a later patch, think i'm gonna wait a bit.

So what happened to the Elden Ring chatter? Was hearing it was the greatest game ever just last year and now it's been more than a year since anyone has even posted on to this thread and I hardly hear anyone bring it up. Was it overhyped?

I bought it but started thinking the hype might be unwarranted. I wanted to wait until people stopped talking about it so I could play it without expectations potentially ruining the experience...In the meantime a bunch of other games caught my attention and I still haven't played Elden Ring. :facepalm

the legacy dungeons are a classic souls experience but the open world aspect leaves a lot to be desired - it's too much of a lull and gets to be grindy and repetitive.

What’s the verdict? I haven’t played Elden Ring since I tried a higher level. Which was difficult. So I stopped. I will say when I finally gave this game a chance it shocked me how good it was.

DLC isn't as good as the base game imo, but still worth it if you loved ER. I like their other games like Sekiro and Bloodborne even more.
