Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony, Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes, Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday, Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris and Golden State Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson are the finalists for the inaugural Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion award, the NBA announced Friday.

The award, named after Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the league's all-time leading scorer, is given to the player who best embodies Abdul-Jabbar's message of civil rights, Black empowerment and racial equality.

One might think this belongs on the political forum, but naw. This is an nba award, after all. For the player that's the most Democrat and has a big mouth. Congrats to them, NBA is the best

.Goat social justice!

Also, do people capitalize white when referring to white people? I don't.

Keeps people at the ground level distracted from the fact blacks are 1/30th of the NBA's majority owners.

They sponsor these social justice movements that never lead to any meaningful gains, to disguise black dependence on the model that keeps the wealth with the white 1%

They aint gonna let blacks actually own their own stuff. LOL.

I am glad they are not addressing the real issues like gang violence, drug addiction, fatherless homes and planned parenthood murdering millions of Black babies a year.

Keep blaming Whitey.
