View Full Version : Giannis needs to stop shooting threes

A wide open one or two a game is acceptable, but analytics can't justify his 4.6 a game in the playoffs on 12.5%. Even in the regular season, his 30.3% isn't good enough to take 3.6 threes a game. The Bucks are only averaging 93 a game against the Nets, and part of that is you don't have to worry at all about Giannis from the outside. If he's going to take 8 threes like this last game, then he's neutralizing his offensive impact. They won the game, but 93 a game isn't going to beat the Nets in a series.

He doesn't have basketball fundamentals nor is capable of shooting. Just use and abuse your athleticsm while you have it and work on fundamentals and shooting during the summer breaks.

He should stop shooting 3s and focus on his free throw shooting.

The problem is they're leaving him wide open and he's just as likely to miss a 15 footer as he is to miss a 25 footer. His jumper is flat broke from everywhere. So if he has to take one and say a prayer it may as well be the one worth 50% more points.

Giannis is so garbage from 3, that a 15 footer is a much better shot for him. Problem is his coach has no balls to call him out on it. Small market fraud of a coach.

He was literally airballing free throws last night dude. No shot is good for him outside 5 feet but hes marketed as an MVP so they expect him to take shots. If he only took layups he'd average 10 shots a game like Horace Grant.

12.5%!?

No wonder they leave him wide open at the 3 each possession.

We've been saying this for three years and he hasn't done shit in the offseason, or so it seems...

You either have finesse skills or you don;t. I think Giannis is just one of those dudes who doesn't have it, no matter how much practice.

Fully agree. If I were the coach, I'd tell him next three he shoots, he's going straight to the bench.
