They were discussing about his age back in 2001 after the Toronto Raptors signed him

There's no way he was 36/37 for the '94 & '95 playoff runs.
Could be, by 96, he was much less valuable.

Some said he was almost 50 when he retired in 1996. His birth year of 1963 was just made up by his talent scout. https://www.businessinsider.com/how-old-was-manute-bol-he-was-old-2017-11

That's true to an extent. But physics takes over at some point regardless of how few miles you have.

Both.
And genetics, too. As we are getting older we don't follow the same path. My body changed a lot between 35 and 40. Not much of a change after 40. I'm 47 now and not any worse physically than I was at 38. Between 34 and 38 there was a much bigger difference.
We all get old but some players get old in a span of 2 years while with others it's more gradual.

He had mileage though, he was drafted the same year as MJ and he didn't peak scoring-wise until the mid-90s and averaged 33/10/5 with 2.8 blocks while going up against Malone, Barkley, D-Rob & Shaq in the Playoffs. It's hard for me to believe a 37 y.o would be THAT dominant in a B2B title run. He didn't fall off until '97 either, so he was still a 27/11/4/2/3 player at age '38 in '96? Nah.

So he peaked at 36+ yrs old? That's quite unlikely.
Africans lying about their true age? Shocker.
