He cared more about winning than about trophies. 5 rings out of 7 Finals. I will take it.

Shaq only had 1 MVP dummy. Its a great award but is circumstantial. Iverson was like 1/3 of the player Shaq was and he won it over him. Rose won it over 2011 Dirk. Westbrook A first round bust won it in 2017 over Curry And Durant. Giannis wins it getting swept in the 2nd round while getting locked up.
Its nice but as long as you won one that's all that matters. Proves best in the league status.

The exposure is real.
Davis literally had to score 34 each time the Lakers won in the first round.
LeBron literally can't win a playoff game without him.
Can't get to the playoffs without him.

He gets little to not credit for the 1st 3-Peat, despite him being the closer and the playmaker for all 3 + the best player in half the series. FMVP is all people care about (see: Steph's 2015 title), even though all the real Finals happened out West and Kobe was the Lakers' best player when it came to closing out Portland or beating the Spurs in those years.

Lmao, you're completely full of shit. LeBron's titles where he was clearly the best player on the team gets asterisked because his teammate hits a shot, but the guy who was 2nd best for 3 titles gets more credit because of a handful of games and series. Hypocrisy at it's finest :lol The idea y'all would ever give LeBron credit if he won those titles under the same exact circumstances is laughable

False. Lebron wasn't the best player in last year's Playoffs, and he had the benefit of resting 4 months before a Playoff run and played a bunch of injured teams in that title run (Dame injury, Westbrook COVID + injury, Bam and Dragic injury).
Kobe was the best player against the Lakers' toughest opponents for the 3-Peat. Anthony Davis was the best player and the closer against the Lakers' toughest opponent last season (Denver). Lebron iced out AD after Game 1 to win his FMVP but we all know who the MVP of that 2020 Lakers squad was all year.

But he was clearly the best for his first 3, yet those all conveniently have an asterisk because his teammates hit one shot per playoff run :lol And he has a MUCH stronger argument for best player last year than Kobe does for any of his first 3 titles
And Kobe was not the Lakers best player against the Lakers toughest opponents, Shaq was better than him against '00 Portland and '02 Sacramento

Kobe was the most important player in the Portland series when it came down to elimination by leading them in every category but steals & making every clutch play down the stretch, he also had a game-winning block against Sabonis in that series.
Kobe has more title runs as the best player than Lebron (4 to 3), which I've preached for years now. Kobe was the best player on his team in '01, '02, '09 and '10. Lebron obviously his first 2 titles in Miami and in Cleveland.
This is why MVPs aren't as valuable as some make them out to be. Tony Parker and Iggy won FMVPs, they were not the best players on their team. Nash and Giannis combined for 4 MVPs, they weren't the best player in the league in any of those years.
