Until one of them makes a finals, it's all speculation.

None of them have shown they can succeed in this modern ballgame.

Maybe you can't as a center.

Jokic

He's more durable. Embiid is a ticking time bomb.

Pretty easy call for Jokic. Denver won only one fewer game than Philly in a tougher conference in spite of the fact that Murray/Barton missed a combined 40 games.

Denver finished the season with a starting backcourt of Compazzo/Rivers. Not only did they move up in the standings but they also won a playoff series.

Embiid. Infinitely better defender and I'd prefer my point guard to get my team in to it's set, not my center.

He was also frontrunner for MVP before he went down. Which I guess his injury proneness is something you do have to knock him for if we're talking objectively.

Joker.
Not particularly close.

I like Jokic, he's better offensively than Embiid, but I would dread having a star center who doesn't provide much defense, if I'm building a team I want my center to be a rim protector, if both are healthy I'm going Embiid, especially if my team already has an elite facilitator, but the problem is Embiid is always injured so if we are factoring that into the picture, I might take Jokic, he just gives me assurance that he will play.

Healthy Embiid > Jokic

The thing is EmGlass is never healthy so i would rather have Jokic

Tbh i would rather have Gobert on my team than both

Embiid is one of those "coulda, shoulda, woulda" guys. As in coulda won MVP. Shoulda led his team out of the East. Woulda been the best if not for....

I'll take the more reliable Jokic.

Yeah you rather have a guy who has no offensive game whatsoever unless you add his screen assists to total pts. And even then fall short of what embiid and Jokic score per game. Get a clue

To be fair he did say "on my team" which has Harden/KD/Irving. Gobert would fit pretty well there.

He does not need an offensive game all he needs to do is set screens and roll to the basket and he's one of the best ever at that

Utah have the best offense in basketball and Rudy is a big reason for that

Embiid. Only reason I would even consider Jokic is if I was worried about Embiid's injuries.

I would say Embiid...except for the fact that he's got Anthony Davis levels of fragility. As other people have pointed out.

I would pick Embiid if he didn’t have the health issues he does because he’s a beast on both ends. But he’s always getting hurt and Jokic is super durable so I’d pick Jokic to be safe.

Give me best player over fit any day of the week. That’s how teams in the draft take out 5yr leases in the lottery.

Imagine paying a guy $200mil plus and saying don’t worry about scoring.

The draft is a different story. You are talking about 19-21 yr old kids.

We have yet to see a season where embiid goes unhampered for most of the period.

Joel Embiid is the best center in the NBA....
He is the total package...and deep down you know it even though you will never admit it on here

One of these players is one of the best clutch players in the league. The other....isn't :oldlol:

Jokic. I believe it is close, but quite clear in the fact he is the better player.

Losing to Atlanta with his roster... Not acceptable. Jokic was always pushing shit uphill with the injuries they had.

Jokic... and season after season, the Joker just keeps proving it further.
By the end of their career, we will be comparing them like a repeat of Olowokandi and Nowitzki.
Not exactly to that extent, but close.

This post is officially the dumbest post of the week.

Congratulations you have had some tough competition.
