We've had Covid for the last year. And I was having this discussion with this girl who believes that in the future, we'll be living with aliens amongst us. It was already weird when I started hearing from my friend about Global warming and rising tides. He says that 20 percent of our land will be gone and people are gonna have to start living up in the hills and mountains.

I just can't believe all these things are happening. It feels like we are living in a science fiction movie. Remember the series Black Mirror? It feels even weirder than that. I already thought times were strange when we started using our phones and getting addicted to social media. Then Trump became president. Then the virus. Now rising tides and aliens possibly living amongst us?

Gosh, in the last century, they at least made it seem like things were kinda normal. You know.. things like schools being open, going to a movie, and talking to people in real life instead of online. Back when people weren't addicted to looking at their phones. Life was actually normal! And they say it's gonna get a whole lot weirder.

I dunno about you but when I look outside I don't see any dead bodies or aliens or water up to my ankles.. its nice and sunny out during the day. 20 degrees or so. blue sky, friends still come hang out for bbqs. I still eat at all my favorite restaurants and watch all my favorite shows and play games online. the only difference really is people are less likely to hook up for dates. but I'm old with grey in my beard now so those days are mostly gone anyway

Deaths by suicide have been rising for years. Some tough people might say good riddance but that's on your karma.

Yes, we need to help people adjust to change. I personally think much of it is moronic (eg I saw a sign for Gaycare in Sydney today) but regardless of personal preference, changes are not being managed well.

Many were outraged with Trump. Many are outraged at Biden. We should all be outraged at Covid and wherever it originated but instead people prefer to post horrible comments on the internet.
