What's your budget? How much driving do you do in a typical week?

Also, this is a really bad time to buy a car. Right now demand is very high and factories are just now gearing back up to full production. You're not going to be able to negotiate a very good deal, and with some of the more popular models the dealers are adding a few thousand dollars to the MSRP, because they know somebody will buy the vehicle anyway.

How you gonna ask people to recommend a car without telling us your budget?

If you can afford it, get a 4-5 year old Toyota. If you can't afford that, get a Toyota in the 2005-2011 range.
