That 12 Saltics performance is so overrated.

They were a great defense because of KG only.

Their defenders on Bran where who? Rondo? Pietrus? Ancient Pierce :oldlol::roll:

Celtics were 27th in offense. LMAO. Retirement home team.

Jrue Holiday and Andre Iguodala almost beat the 2012 Celtics and took them to the brink in game 7

Pistons were still a decent team but they were missing the 2 that made them great and champions - Ben Wallace and Larry Brown

Yessir

So Durant already has the best single game over Lebron, and will be ranked ahead of Lebron by mainstream if he wins this year and next

Some will have him ahead if he just wins this year

I already have him ahead, based on actual skills and ability to elevate teammates - everyone playa great alongside jumpshooters (of course Durant does everything else too)

Durant had 49 of 114 points (43%), and his highest teammates had 27.

Jordan had 54 of 105 points (51%) and his highest teammate had 14.. (93' ECF Game 4)

Jordan had 55 of 111 points (50%) and his highest teammate had 17.. (93' Finals Game 4)

So Durant had 2 solid sidekick contributions, while Jordan won with literally nothing, against 60-win opponents (top 5 SRS teams)

This Durant run has surpassed any lebron run, he has been carrying two gimps all playoffs. I would say the number 1 playoff run in the 2010\2020 era is Kawhi in 2019 but this Durant run is right on its tail if he keeps it up.

By carrying a bigger scoring burden with zero help, all eyes were on Jordan (5 on 1), so his performance was dimensions tougher than Durant, who had high-scoring teammates keeping defenders at home

This performance today from the best small forward since Larry Bird is easily better than any playoff game LeBron has ever had, only game 6 in 2012 comes close and that was against a team whose big 3 was around 60 years old so even that wasn't anything special

Had LeBron done that in game 5 or 6 of the 2010 ECSF I might have ranked it as high as his dumb fanbase does but he chose to quit on his team that year instead

It's funny because the bron stans have always ommited the top tier help as a thing.
Seems if he wins fmvp...then that's it.

So putting Durant on level playing field, it doesn't matter who his cast is...as long as he gets fmvp too.

Add to the fact Bron has already given KD 2 fmvp...just sways the argument in KDs direction even further.

KD gonna d1ck this guy and his fanbase AGAIN lmfao

Bron has double the amount of 40 point playoff games. He had almost as many 40 point playoff games in one playoff run as KD as had his entire career. He's played 48 minutes on the road and dropped 40 in game 7s. To say Lebron has never had a game as good as this is pure hater shyt. Ya'll can't salute KD without making it about Bron.

If lebron has 2x the 40pt games, and he got 1x of them in one playoff run, then what does that say about the rest of his playoff career?

Kevin Durant finished with a Game Score of 50.4

Michael Jordan's best in a playoff game: 49.8
LeBron James's best in a playoff game: 44.7
Kobe Bryant's best in a playoff game: 43.6

When you combine the efficiency with volume, that was a top-5 playoff performance ever.

Now, this stat is kinda flawed when you consider that Dame had the highest GameScore in NBA history in that Game 5 loss against Denver this year. Durant's game is legit GOAT-tier though because he played both ends at an elite level.

Bum opponents versus top 5 SRS

Boston was #12 SRS and only won 50 games, while Garnett/Allen/Pierce were 36 years old.. The 07' Pistons were even worse - a better SRS (#6) but trashy team and players

Nowhere near this Bucks team or the "cream of the crop" opponents that Jordan's best games were against (Finals teams or top 5 SRS)

The current Bucks are way better than the ancient Celtics. I remember that Heat Celtic game... Heat won that game from the jump. Nets were down 16 at halftime. Apples and Oranges....

Kind of ridiculous to use TS% when he shot 1/4 in the 4th :lol But in all honesty I give Kobe credit for finding a way to fight through a very poor performance and still contribute to a win in crunch time. As much as I troll about 6/24, it wasn't a WOAT tier game like Curry in 2016 and Kawhi last year

Ok, so he took 4 shots but ended with 10 points, who cares? Lebron took 8 shots in Game 7 of the 2016 Finals and got to 11 points, was his scoring performance any better? No.

And thanks for admitting that. Kobe was terrible on offense in the first 3 quarters, I'm not going to excuse that, but most players in his situation would probably fold in the 4th quarter by not attacking or shooting at all. At the end of the day, he got the job done.
