How is it possible that all these big name players got injured this postseason, it just doesn't make sense. These are like 8 of the top 10 players. :wtf:

Why are you shocked NBA off season was shortened by many months. Sliver and the greedy NBA only cared about revenue and not player safety.

It could end up that way. For better or worse, people can argue 2015, 2019 and 2021 are asterisked due to major injuries.

Some people think last year with the bubble was asterisked as well.

Before Kawhi's injury, these playoffs had already set an NBA record for all-star players getting injured...and that doesn't even include the regular season.

Injuries are a part of NBA.

With a shortened off season this was bound to happen.

Teams are just the champion of the situation they find themselves in. You win a title of that season and it had nothing to do with what happens in other seasons. It’s the last team standing. That’s what the ring is for. If that team would be standing in a different league is irrelevant. That’s why all the asterisk talk is a joke to me.

A lot of teams don’t win without some injuries that clear the way. Is what it is. Doesn’t make it an “asterisk”. Makes it a sport. It’s a team of people running and jumping. Losing the ability to do that makes them worse. Staying healthy has always been the main factor in winning we just don’t like it because it forces us to acknowledge luck and not the usual bullshit we attach to every victory and defeat.

It really is out of your hands at times.

No ring is an asterisk ring unless there is confirmation it was rigged.

if you consider the bubble season an asterisk ring then sure you can consider this years season as well.

Bran was healthy this postseason he didn't get hurt. Nice try.

He just doesn't look the same without insane spacing so he looked like shit when AD went down.

In game 6 3rd quarter when LA was hitting shots he started playing like he usually does.

People consider the Bubble season an asterisks because of the environment being rec league Disneyworld ball. No travel, no road games, outlier performances from many teams and players. It wasn't real basketball.

And Ben Simmons and Russell Westbrook, who played with COVID and a torn quad.

And McCollum who was playing through a lower back fracture

And Gordon Hayward who sprained his ankle in game 1 vs Philly

And Orlando who lost Isaac, Gordon, and Carter-Williams after beating Milwaukee in game 1

Major asterisk confirmed. Too many injuries.

Giannis also got injured in the East Semis, don't forget about that 1.

But Lebron wasn't tweeting about that last year. I wonder what changed?

Something tells me all the injuries benefited him so he went on that hush-hush.

Am I on to something here?

Because Kawhi is missing games in a series he was on pace to losing?

LeBron wasn’t injured.

The only notable injury here is the Nets‘. And Conley.

All the others can play.

Lillard was the MVP of the bubble, he was winning games by himself. Obviously him getting injured meant the Blazers had 0 chance. Weren't you and other Lebron stans making excuses leading up to the series, saying that the Lakers were underdogs? Now you're saying Lillard's injuries weren't a factor?

Injuries are a part of the game. What is a clearcut asterisk is having a practice league considered a legit one.

Please don't put words in my mouth. I knew from the beginning the Blazers stood no chance, I wish you as a fellow laker fan had the same confidence.

I knew that the Lakers' size was too much for Portland to handle, even if Dame continued his hot streak.
