I was going through Luka's the numbers from the MAVs VS LAC series:

36/10/8 and 40% from 3 (Terrible from the line though,52%)

I genuinely feel like he is a lesser player in my eyes compared to before this series.
Basketball has gotten real weird of late.

It's easier to score and harder to defend. 20 points today isn't 20 points yesterday. Basically the opposite of how baseball has trended.

If Luka was a superstar he wouldnt have choked a 2-0 lead lets be honest here.
He went from top 5 to borderline top 10 in my eyes.
Also he is fat and has motor issues+ the FT shooting.
The optics of it are really bad.

Inflated stats. Lebron was a 27 ppg Playoffs scorer at his peak/prime (27.3 ppg 57.1%TS from 2011-16) and then had B2B runs of 32+ ppg on "elite" efficiency (64.9%TS and 61.9%TS) as soon as the league started breaking all-time ORTG records.

stats are so inflated these days. Numbers will continue to go up but it doesn't mean the players are better if their stats are better.
