This 100%. What I got out from his tweet is that the Lakers would have won it all with a normal off-season, but freak injuries happen all the time and Lebron aging is also inevitable. He could have sprained his ankle in a normal season too, similar to how he pulled his groin in 2019. Same with AD's injuries. I do think a shortened off-season played some part in the overall health of some of these guys, but the Jazz got bounced in the first round as did the Sixers, yet they're plagued by injuries to their key players as well.

For the rest of society... there is a big competition to fake a higher degree of intelligence than we really have.

Nobody's just going to publicly admit to being below average, as it's counter productive to self interest.

The funny thing about all this lack of rest talk is most players that got hurt sat out a ton.

Kawhi - load managed all year after an early exit and 6 month layoff the year prior.

AD - load managed and sat out literally the entire year.

Kyrie - load managed the entire year after taking a whole year and a half off before.

Harden - load managed all year.

Embiid - made of glass and has never completed a whole season.

The only shocking injury us Hardens tbh. All the other guys are hurt all the time. LeBron and Chris Paul were fine. Chris Paul had the best series of his career in the 2nd round after his "injury".
