No way, you def don't play Durant 48 minutes again but you have to go for the jugular when you have the chance. The Nets barely won yesterday, and I'll just go out on a limb and predict Durant & Jeff Green don't perform to that level again if there is a Game 7.
I know these star players are dropping like flies, but it'll be a total joke if we start load managing guys in Game 6 of a playoff series

I'd love to see this Nets team absolutely crumble but risking a playoff game is stupid. Play Durant less minutes maybe but don't just rest him.

I don't think it's load managing, just a realistic gamble.
Game 6 is in Milwaukee. Say we think the chance of a Nets win is 40% with a tired Durant and Harden. Then if they lose, game 7 in Brooklyn say we think they have a 50% chance of winning with a very tired Durant and hobbled Harden.
Say they rest in game 6. The chance of winning maybe drops to 20% but you tell your guys to play very physical and make the Bucks trio tired. Then game 7 in Brooklyn you have lets say 60-70% chance of winning with a fresher Durant and Harden at home court.

I just disagree with giving away a playoff game, esp in a 3-2 series. Anything can happen in one game, Durant could get hurt, he could have a bad game, Giannis or someone on Milwaukee could have a career night. Not only do I think it's bad strategy, just from a personal standpoint, I'd have a much easier time accepting a loss going all out in the last 2 games than I would giving away Game 6 then losing in Game 7. That's the kind of decision that gets a coach fired

It's bad enough the regular season is all but irrelevant, but the league is in serious trouble if teams start resting their stars not just in a playoff game, but in Game 6 of the conference semifinals. The fact people are even floating this idea is scary

The same is true though. Harden has a real chance of reinjuring in game 6. Durant could get hurt in game 6. If this happens, we'd wonder if it's wiser to give up game 6 and get a much better chance to win game 7.

This! If it gets out of hand early then pull them out. Originally many thought even with all healthy the series may have gone 7 anyway.

Do you guys really except anything less by a man who has a tattoo around his belly botton?
I’d probably sit Harden. Durant why? He’s completely healthy.

It didn’t age well at all :lol It proves that anything can happen in a Game 7, and even with Durant having another godlike performance the Nets still lost. Saying they would’ve won had they sat out Game 6 is completely speculative. And I’ll say it once more, sitting your players for a Game 6 is ridiculous, and should never be considered by any coach

is it really god like when you're shooting over 6'5 players? great performance but with enough practice alot of players coulod do that or more like 5 in this league

Durant's not nearly as godly as his game 5 self though. Far from it. It stands to reason that he and Harden could've benefited a lot from a rest in game 6.

That's why it's a gamble. Nets could still won game 6, but they had quite low chance considering the situation.
