Good question. Very rare I'm sure. A 1 seed wins the title over half the time.

2004 Indiana was a 1st seed, maybe Minnesota was too.

2012 the Spurs were I believe

So yeah not any of those seasons.

The seeding this year was a little distorted because of the ridiculous "Health and safety protocols." COVID brought out the stupid in people.
