View Full Version : 3ball has sure been quiet since KD got eliminated.

Went from posting every moment of everyday to disappearing.

Any theories?

Maybe he can't troll and say LeBron winning the East 10 straight years means nothing cause KD did it with no help in his first year in the East, or maybe his theory of non-ball dominant players being superior to players like LeBron got exposed? Thoughts?

The bot malfunctioned.

He's currently copy pasting new cow shit into his spreadsheet to commence the spam. :lol

3ball narratives that got shattered:

- LeBron ball being suboptimal -> Durant ball was even more ball dominant yet lost.
- 3 star iso scoring is best way to play basketball -> lost in the 2nd round.

I can keep going but he didn't take Durant losing too well. Anti-LeBron / Jordan stans took on Durant as their "savior" and the man failed when he didn't have a super stacked team ala Jordan Bulls.

Nikkas said a player like iverson couldnt win a chip and look he did it in 01(beat the lakers 1 game, each game was worth a championship so if he would of beatin them 4 times he would of had 4 championships and a nickolodean kids choice award. The only player to ever beat the 01 lakers in the playoffs the legend and top 10 player of all time allen iverson

Right. He set the superteam precedent and a healthy Brooklyn team still likely win a ring or two. Which will give KD 3-4 ring. Right there with LeBron. Overall LeBron's a thing of the past though. Believe me when I tell you that 5 years from now, he'll be falling down the ranks. And fast too. Hoopers don't go to youtube to watch or learn from his game. Instead they watch guys like KD, Steph, Booker, Kawhi etc.

Media will hitch their "Next MJ" wagon soon enough.

We don't need a "next mj". There's plenty of players that can score at a high volume.

LeBron is the GOAT.

We are looking for the next LeBron.

Luka is this player. We'll see if his body lasts.

Super teams are teams that can win 55 games without their #1 option.

Show me which teams have done this.

I'm not sure about that. He's very likely to retire the all time leading scorer. That's a pretty nice feather in one's cap. And then there's all those all time leading stats in the playoffs.

I don't see any of the current age-25 and under players separating themselves from the pack as much as Jordan and Lebron did.

LeBron got eliminated in the 1st round. Nobody cares about him. He's washed. LeBron tried to catch MJ but came up short. That ship sailed the moment JJ Barea put his puerto rican foot up LeBron's ass. The next MJ talks will be back though. And sooner than later. They're already calling Booker the next Kobe.

It might be harder to win with a super-team due to chemistry and shit brand, but it's a GUARANTEED win - you'll go at least 1/4 or 2/4 like Lebron did.

And that's why Lebron did it - he needed to guarantee some chips because his career was headed down the tubers

Quite the opposite, NBA might hit a depression once LeBron retires, not only that, but Durant & Curry will be right behind him in calling it quits. These are once in a lifetime players, we probably will never see a shooter like Curry, Durant's perimeter scoring ability for his size has never been seen, and of course we have never seen a player like LeBron before who can score with the best of them, pass like an elite PG, and built like a tank with freakish athletic ability. There might be hope in the future generation like Luka, Trae, Zion, Tatum etc but I'm 100% positive none of them will be better than LeBron. I'm certain that the next player who will reach the greatness of LeBron is still in high school, a little kid, in diapers, or still a sperm cell.

You don't know basketball. Period. These talking points are like ones you read from the nerds on reddit. Cornballs who've never dribbled a basketball a day in their life. Wilt and Shaq aren't even argued as GOAT. So you make my point. LeBron will be lauded for his numbers and "celebrated" among the hardcore online fans. But for most hoopers he'll be forgotten. Don't be mad cause I called you out on your nonsense. Imagine thinking LeBron will be forgotten cause he wasn't "skilled enough", I'm sure winning 4 MVPs, 4 Finals MVPs, making it to 10 straight Finals including winning the most memorable NBA Finals (2016) in the last 30 years has cemented his legacy, he will always be argued as the GOAT, deal with it. Keep dreaming if you think he is gonna be another Karl Malone, a guy who never won anything.

May be so. A big part of it though is that you can never learn to play like Shaq or LeBron. You can't teach their type of physique. Both are unique but if you have a ballplayer you can't ell him to play like Shaq or LeBron. You can become Nash. If you are tall you can resemble Tim Duncan.

Hardcore online fans value rarity. And Shaq or LeBron are as rare as it gets. Both are skilled by the way but their skills are/were limited because it was effective enough. You may try to develop a Jason Kidd like game. If you are tall you may try Dirk. Shaq? You can't. You either are Shaq or you are not. Same with Bron and I think Wilt, too.

Agreed. Usually by this point, the next guy is obvious. It 'could' be Luka but, I don't know. What I do know is that, as much as people shit on guys here to prop up their favourites, guys like Kobe, Lebron, Steph, KD are generational. Nobody has really come along and planted themselves as the guy to take the torch, not only as the best player, but also someone with the charisma the NBA can market the league on and get fans in a tizzy. I dont think we knew how good we actually had it to have the Kobe and Lebron camps driving interest years ago. Who coming along will be polarizing in the same manner?

It seems like your opinions are mostly based off emotion rather than logic, similar to a crazed woman, and of course nobody takes a crazed woman serious. You criticize LeBron for ring chasing when your boy Durant was even worse, at least LeBron joined a lottery Lakers team, KD is a shameless ring chaser, but that doesn't take away the fact that he is probably the greatest scoring SF ever, you see, I can be logical when breaking down players. Your "skill" argument is really flawed, Chris Paul is more skilled than Magic Johnson, nobody ranks him ahead of Magic, hell Jokic is more skilled than Shaq, are we gonna rank him ahead of Shaq cause he has more skill? You sound like a moron to be honest.

Nobody will ever rank KD over LeBron all-time, only in your delusional mind is that the case.

The fact that Durant wasn't even playing last year renders this a non-point.

The last 3 seasons where Durant was playing:

2021- second round
2019- finals( get injured)
2018- wins chip/FMVP

Last 3 Kawlimp seasons?

2021( watched Playoff P lead the Clips to the conference finals with him sitting out the last 2 games)
2020( second round loss to a pudgy euro)
2019 ( wins chip with Durant injured followed by Klay)
