I don't get how people say KD is a better scorer than Jordan

Things have gotten way out of hand. Not only is Jordan the best scorer ever, outside of arguably Wilt Chamberlain, but KD doesn't even average as many points as Jordan. Lol, he doesn't even average more points than Lebron. Think about that. Lebron does a lot more ball-handling than KD and still averages just as many points. Jordan only averaged 22.9 and 20 in his 3rd NBA stint, but still finished with a 30 point per game career average. Plus in Jordan's era, the games were slower.

KD averages 3 points less than Jordan, even while making more 3 pointers. So why doesn't KD average 30 for his career? Because he isn't quite as good at Michael Jordan at scoring. If KD could do it, he would. Some people argue that KD is more gifted because he's taller and shoots 3s better. Since he's taller and shoots 3s better, then he would average more than 30 if he was better at scoring than Jordan.

As a matter of fact Harden is better than KD at scoring arguably. Harden played with Westbrook too and look at the numbers he put up. So you can't use the excuse that it's because KD played with Westbrook.

Also, KD did not average more than Curry in the 3 seasons that they played together.

Yes, he's tall and has a decent 3 point shot. But he doesn't have that many moves other than shooting over people. Jordan could get a fadeaway shot whenver he wanted. KD airballed that potential game winner. Jordan got tough when the tough got going.

KD does have a 30 point finals average, but so does West. And Jordan, of course, but 3 points higher, as he his over KD across regular season and playoffs as you noted.

And unlike Lebron (who was outplayed by KD), Jordan had goat jumpshooting skill (in addition to the aforementioned power), so he could pop off in any fashion and overwhelm KD, while Lebron's plodding, dribble-heavy attack couldn't keep up.

Dude do you just lie like this all the time? Kd is barely more efficient than mj even though he faces no double teams less defensive focus and pressure and he takes on a lesser scoring load. Oh and he also played in an easier scoring era.

Kevin Durant has baby-sized hands, while MJ had big man hands at 6'6" - that's goat talent... He also has POWER that Durant lacks, both as a leaper and overall strength - as an example of Jordan's power game, he had the goat drop-step ability for a non-big man..... This is the tip of the iceberg regarding Jordan's talent - KD is taller and shoots threes, but otherwise doesn't compare..
