Immigrants and their families generally vote Democrat, at least for the first generation or 2. Then, once they become established and assimilated, some start to switch to the Republican side. This isn't a huge concern for the Dems as they can replenish their share of the Hispanic and Asian vote through more immigration (which is why the Dems are so pro immigration, both legal and illegal, to begin with),

Yes, initial covid handling did damage Trump. Still, people over 65 largely tend to be conservative so I don't see them going for Biden over Republican/Trump.
