KG's time in Minny comes to mind.
Those were young teams that were lottery bound without him.
Ewing never had another top sidekick in his prime.
A conversation can be made for CP3
Who else?

Of players that made the top 25, KG. Those Wolves teams were dreadful
Of superstar caliber players, I'd say McGrady, Wilkins & Gervin. History remembers them a lot differently if they played on legitimate championship teams

Dame.
That team blows, CJ is extremely overrated, Nurkic is always hurt.

Dirk in Dallas too.
The front office never surrounded him with a championship level roster, he won one for them and should have probably gotten it in 06 too

This just isn't true. The early 2000s always had Dallas stacking their roster. It just didn't work out. At one point they had Dirk, Nash, nearly 20ppg Finley, Toin Walker coming off his Celtics days, and Jamison along with great defensive players. They followed that season after Nash left with Dirk, Stackhouse and Van Horn (both were playing well around 15ppg the season before), Finley (on the decline), Jason Terry, and Howard (on the rise). They almost always had more talent by the numbers than the Spurs or Lakers but obviously never achieved as much
