Hey Yo

How does that happen?

Has any other player avg. 7pts or less and received multiple FMVP votes??

That could only happen if the #1 star severely underperformed, e.g.

• Bird in 1981
• Jordan in 1996
• Curry in 2015

Not pretty Finals series for these guys but it happens :confusedshrug: Not everyone can perform to GOAT standards like LeBron when they win a chip. Some get carried like the guys listed above

titles ranked in terms of prestige/respect/competition throughout/amount of colluding/lockouts/ringchasing/bailouts/suspensions/bubbles involved

#1 - Kobe 2009 - 94 hakeem like dream run, shitty supporting cast, iconic finals over under reverse
#2 - Kobe 2010 - taking down big 5 in boston, legendary WCF close out, broken hand willis reed moment
#3 - Kobe 2001 - leading entire playoffs overall ahead of peak shaq, 15-1 playoff record
#4 - Kobe 2002 - another willis reed moment, overcoming intentional food poisoning in sacramento
#5 - Kobe 2000 - a 3rd willis reed moment, saving shaq in game 7 wcf, then again in nba finals on 1 leg with shaq fouled out
#6 - Lebron 2012 - colluded ring chased big 3, lockout, rigged ECF vs boston but good overall performance
#7 - Lebron 2013 - colluded ring chased big 4, choked first 6 games of finals, ray allen bail out, duncan point blank choke
#8 - Lebron 2016 - colluded big 3, draymond suspension, kyrie literally leading cavs to all 4 victories plus the series winning 3
#9 - Lebron 2020 - 5 month break, disney bubble, no fans, no travel, no pressure, davis carrying first 3 rounds, 5th seed heat in finals missing bam and goran? lol

rodman probly wasn't more impactful than MJ since just his presence opens up everyone. but without him they definitely lose to the sonics

MJ couldnt win the year before without Grant... definitely dont get to the Finals w/o Dennis.

Anyone?

Life was simpler back then. No competition. You go for a hike and you've discovered new land. You beat someone in a fist fight and you get to take all their wives. You can tie your own shoes independently and you make an NBA roster. I miss the 90s.

Rodman got Finals MVP votes because he wreaked havoc on defense and set the offensive rebounding record in a finals twice.
