I remember telling my friend Michael Porter was going to be the best player in the draft. He picked Luka saying hes going to be a slightly worse Harden, but neither of us thought Luka and Trae were going to be THIS good.

Internet opinion at the time was that they would both underperforme expectations, I remember it very clearly.
Also people thought JJJ was the shit, he was talked about all the time as a star level player.

During the draft people are much more focused on measurables, size and athletic testing. People are also more focused on a players weaknesses.

Not enough emphasis on skills and BBIQ at draft time. Those become.much more evident after the games start

His defense is real good and he absolutely should have made all nba defense. Dude is like inspector gadget with his hands
