Not the same Rondo.
Would be like saying this year's Paul George is the same as last year.

Combination of being washed and inflated bubble play
In last years postseason, Rondo averaged more points and assists. On better efficiency and a higher assist/turnover ratio. Right now I think he's only shooting ~35%.

Anthony Davis won. Not lebron. Lebron lost every game against the suns while Davis won 2 in a row. Also before davis came he was a 3rd allnba lottery guy.

the other day i accused you of not watching any laker games since the 80s... and now i know for a fact you haven't
rondo was amazing in that finals. i remember him tipping every rebound and loose ball to a teammate for long stretches. like he just knew where it was going every time. that playoff rondo nickname is actually true. while other guys shrink under the bright lights rondo gets better. him and davis/dwight/mcgees inside presence was why the lakers won. that plus durant/kyrie skipping the bubble

9/4/7 averages in the playoffs last year for Rondo, what a baller. Yes, Rondo was without a doubt clutch in that playoff run, but for a #3 option for a championship team he is very mediocre, you know it and I know it.

It's a shame Kawhi & Paul George couldn't inflate their stats in the bubble. :oldlol:

i wouldn't say he was the 3rd option. he was for 2 games. but his assists were steady throughout the series and 9 points/7 assists accounts for 23 points or more of offensive production. thats great for a 3rd leader
but the 3rd scoring option for the lakers was
game 1 - Pope 13 points
game 2 - Rondo 16 points
game 3 - Kuzma 19 points
game 4 - Pope 15 points
game 5 - Pope 16 points
game 6 - Rondo 19 points
again. why you should watch the games.. Pope was incredible. so was rondo. they just took turns stepping up as the 3rd guy.
now die you stupid old geezer
Maybe not the 3rd option, but without a doubt Rondo was our 3rd best player, read the OP. and lol @ hyping Pope as a legit 3rd option, a whopping 11 ppg and 42% shooting in the playoffs last year for Pope, a legit 3rd option for sure. :oldlol:
What does it matter who the lakers third option was anyway? They played cancer westbrick and an injured 5th seed LOL

Fair enough, the 2020 Lakers were very 2000-2002 Lakers esque, 2 star players with a bunch or role players, although Shaq was the undisputed best player on his team while the big man on '20 team played 2nd option.

You're not wrong. I think the 2001 team was better though. And while Kobe was masterful in that '01 run, Shaq was still better.
Shaq's impact carried just a little more weight. No pun intended.

what is this "our" shit.. the fact that you're trashing rondo means you didn't didn't watch the games
there was so many little things he did that didn't show up in the box score. like instead or grabbing the rebound he kept tapping it to guys. if he just grabs it he averages 10 a game
:yaohappy:
What's your beef with that dude... What, is he a LeBron homer 'posing' as an LA fan?

Just butt hurt a real laker fan prefers LeBron over Kobe.
Why would you bring up the guy who was more impressive than Lebron all playoffs long? But but stats..
He was better on both ends. Moved the ball quicker while being a better playmaker, leader, knocking down threes and jumpers at any moment. Driving.
Rondo was at 5 apg in regular season and the stat padder averaged 10.
In the Playoffs that changed to 7 for Rondo & 9 for leQuit (while ball hogging) who didn't impress at all.
I don't think he respects lebron.
Not to mention AD.

personally I think you're an older laker fan that chose to back the wrong horse when kobe and shaq had their feud. you had your childhood favorite in magic so anything after that in terms of individual greatness is irrelevant to you because nobody can top your idol. so you thought shaq was the right guy to keep because kobe fans are mostly younger fans that were looking for a childhood idol in the late 90s. older fans picked shaq. he was their guy. so when he got traded guys like this old f*ggot cuck got absolutely destroyed and butthurt beyond repair. and when Miami won a title with Antoine walker as their 2nd leading scorer with shaq barely averaging 13ppg and being benched every 4th quarter for Alonzo mourning due to hackashaq. these morons actually convinced themselves that shaq brought the winning formula to the Heat. when in fact it was just the refs putting wade on the ft line 20 times a game.
this prompted guys like this degenerate a**hole to cheer against their own team to spite kobe. especially after his trade demand to get some weapons around him. and because of kobes success as leader they had to go elsewhere to back a new horse to challenge kobes greatness. since shaq only had 4 titles to kobes 5 and magic being irrelevant to today's nba discussions. this sell out f*gboy b*tch decided he would be a closet leturd fan and basically leave his team behind. when lebron joined the Lakers he felt like God gifted him an angel. and when davis dragged his bubble buddy b*tch to the worst title in nba history that didn't even get a parade he thought this was gonna make lebron the king of LA. but then reality came crashing down as the real leader of LA went down. so did the ship. and now this cuck boy liberal pansy is working overtime to try and deflect the negative attention his boyfriend is getting by trashing kobe once again. the fact is no true laker fan would ever pick sides. no true laker fan would ever cheer for another team. and I've been on record saying I've never been a true laker fan and always have been just a kobe fan thats more into the Raptors as a franchise. but at least I can admit it. this semen swallowing sack of shit is 60 years old and still can't look himself in the mirror and be honest with himself.

Rondo's postseason play last season would be the definition of an outlier. He was one of the worst players in the league during the regular season and has been a net negative for years. Teams almost always play better with him off the floor. Every fan with LA's best interests at heart would straight up cringe whenever he would check into the game. Somehow he managed to be a solid contributor during last year's playoffs. A total shocker, honestly. Him back to sucking this postseason is him just going back to normal.
