This is 85% of Scottie Pippen problem.
No! He can't make Larsa Pippen drop the last name.

What's everbodies fascination with Larsa Pippen? They're not even together and have not been for a while is my understanding. All these dudes share the same women.

Here's a Pippen fan saying he defended Pippen for years against naysayers that said he wasn't that good - now he feels "heart-broken like a scorned lover" that Pippen has revealed his true colors, he's wishing he'd never defended the bum - I never made this mistake because I always knew Pippen was a bum:

pippen fans reeling like, wtf?.. pippen WAS a bum?.... jordan actually DID carry this fool?... that's what the stats said all along dummies

Jordan didnt carry the Bulls. He was their best player. He took most of the shots.

I find it funny that nobody has a problem with Jordan calling Pippen selfish when he made the decision he made in 98 to have surgery and rehab during the season, but have a problem with Pippen calling Jordan selfish for his decision to retire a 2-3 weeks before the season. The nerve.

How many Finals did Lebron win while doubling his sidekick's scoring

MJ also got more apg than his sidekick and assisted 33% more often (assist percentage) - you just don't know the numbers and prefer blissful ignorance over accepting the facts

ONLY jordan carried teams to championships

This is not really the same thing at all though. One guy clearly was trying to process/mourn the murder of their closest family member, he said straight up in the mornings heading to baseball practise is when he would feel the presence of his father most strongly.

The situation with Pippen was that he was upset over a contract he signed being told full well it could be underpaid towards the later half of the contract. As far as I know you can't even just tear up a contract and just give a player more money, that would be against the collective bargaining agreement.

It's not like Scottie was struggling either, he had massive endorsement deals at that time with Nike, Right Guard, McDonalds, Coca Cola, etc.

That said I don't think Scottie is in his right mind right now either, I think he might be using something to cope with the passing of his son, which is very sad. He came off very weird in that interview.

I have some doubts about what you're saying. Jordan's first retirement was due to him being suspended for his gambling habits but since the league's ratings may go down as it would risk diminishing his popularity, they chose to disclose it that way. That he was heartbroken due to his father's loss, who also inspired him to play baseball too which is why he tried it during his temporary 'break'.

The second retirement was due to him learning that he may not be able to play with pippen anymore. The two had a great relationship as renowned teammates in the bulls dynasty so there's no surprise to this. But krause has already decided to split them up after they won their sixth ring near the end of the previous century. Jordan did play five seasons without him by his side but none ended up where he advanced past the first round of the playoffs.

No league, least of all the freaking NBA, would suspend their own marquee attraction, the greatest star attraction in all of professional sports at that right after losing Bird and Magic on top of that.

That whole conspiracy theory is so stupid ... all Jordan would have to do is turn around and tell Nike and NBC that he's not being allowed to play and the corporate backlash would have been tremendous. NBC paid monstrous amounts of money for a TV contract on the basis that Jordan would be the centerpiece of the package.

Besides, we know dozens of other NBA players gamble like crazy, Charles Barkley lost millions gambling, why was he not suspended? No one cares about gambling it's your money, if you want to bet it on golf shots or casinos, whatever.

Yea it may sound like a conspiracy theory which you think is stupid but like i said, if they did disclose that as the reason for his abrupt retirement it would have caused a major dent on his name and they didn't want that for someone who's a popular cash cow in their industry.
